Xcorps TV PRESENTS XCOR Aerospace The LYNX

Xcorps TV PRESENTS XCOR Aerospace The LYNX - These are exciting times to fly especially since a California based aerospace company called XCOR has built a new rocket powered space hopper called the LYNX that will soon be available to give those who buy a ticket a ride to space!

Xcorps TV has been following XCOR for several years now because we too like to fly fast – remember the XC Mig-21 episode! Rocket powered vehicles are cooler not only because they go fast but also because they can bring you to exciting and weightless places! XCOR aerospace is an innovative engineering company that has shown they have learned how to built safe reliable rocket powered vehicles and they want non-astronaut type people to fly in them for the exciting experience!

This special report video began with Xcorps host reporter Jason Lazo attending an Los Angeles XCOR press conference in 2008 when it was announced they would be competing with Sir Richard Branson and his Virgin Galactic for a piece of the space tourism market now unfolding.

Jason was there with the XCAM crew to get shots of the new XCOR rocket ship the LYNX which is a 2 seat composite craft resembling a small double delta glider type airplane. Check out actual test firings and hear the LYNX XR-5K18 rocket engine at the XCOR Aerospace Edwards AFB facility.

In this video segment Jason talks to the pilot of the LYNX former NASA Shuttle commander Col. Rick Searfoss about the rocket ride being offered to the general public through a space travel agency for a mere 90K or so…much more affordable than Bransons proposed 200K ticket price! Jason talks to pilot Searfoss about the ship and what he likes most about space! See how many trips to space per day the LYNX will be making and what a passenger can expect on the ride!

Just like Xcorps, which uses guerrilla style TV production techniques, XCOR aerospace created the LYNX using unconventional engineering like real world testing critical rocket engine components in a street motorcycle traveling the roads of the U.S. southwest instead of the standard and expensive bench tests. Nothing like a road tour to get the bugs out of any machine! The LYNX unlike most rocket powered space craft is very environmentally friendly burning a non-toxic mix of liquid oxygen and kerosene taking off and landing from a conventional runway and flying almost vertically to over 350,000 feet on the Mark II model!
