00:00Hey everyone, it's Chloe from afar. Asia is not just for the 20-something backpacker.
00:10It's got something for everyone, whether you want to relax in a hot spring or stuff
00:13yourself silly with some street food. Here are some places across the continent that
00:17we're super excited about.
00:20Thongmai is more than 700 years old and is full of temples, cafes, and Muay Thai gyms.
00:30Pack your stretchy pants on a visit to this city in Northern Thailand. It's perfect
00:34for foodies, whether you're craving something on the Michelin Guide or some simple street
00:37food like Pad Krapow Gai, also known as fried basil with chicken and rice, or Khao Soi,
00:42noodles in a coconut curry soup.
00:45Cambodian places like Siem Reap are easier to reach since its new airport opened in 2023.
00:50And while you can see the famous Angkor Wat here, consider leaving the city for the lesser
00:54known, crowd-free temples like Koh Ker, which was added to Cambodia's UNESCO World Heritage
00:57List in 2023.
01:02Pursue these amazing destinations with the United Quest Card. Right now, you can earn
01:07a special offer of 60,000 bonus miles and 500 Premier Qualifying Points, plus three
01:14times the miles on United Purchases and two free checked bags. Terms apply!
01:20Want to learn more? Head over to their website, which I've linked below, to see all the
01:24travel benefits the United Quest Card has to offer.
01:28Head to the region of Ladakh in Northeast India and you'll find Tibetan Buddhist monasteries
01:31and breathtaking Himalayan views. You may need time to adjust to the altitude of its
01:35nearly 12,000-foot-high capital, Leh, but the hiking here makes it all worth it. And
01:40even in this remote region of the Himalayas, luxury hotels like Dolkar have been popping
01:44up over the past couple of years.
01:46Thinking of a wellness trip? Well, there's probably no better place to relax than in
01:50Beppu. In this city, there are more onsen hot springs than anywhere else in Japan. You
01:54see steam and hot water basically everywhere here thanks to volcanic activity. And one
01:58of its most famous sights is the Seven Hells of Beppu, which are more for viewing than
02:02soaking because some can get as hot as 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
02:05A lot of people associate South Korea with its capital, Seoul, and with K-pop, but the
02:09country's got so much more. The second largest city, Busan, got its own Michelin Guide in
02:13February 2024, and in the south, the stunning natural landscapes of Jeju Island have a
02:18reputation of being the honeymoon capital of Korea. It's one of the country's 16
02:23UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
02:25Mongolia's eagle hunters in Bayon Olje and the sand dunes of the Gobi Desert are pretty
02:29well known by travelers visiting this off-the-beaten-path destination, but there are plenty of other
02:32unique places to explore, including the country's latest UNESCO site, the Deerstone Monuments.
02:37These Bronze Age monoliths date from 1200 to 600 BC and can be more than 10 feet tall.
02:43And that's the video! Have you been to any of the places on our list? Comment down
02:47below. Remember to like our video and subscribe on your way out to get notifications when
02:51we announce more cool places to visit. Thanks for watching!
