While most criminals long for freedom, there’s a small percentage that seem to enjoy the confines of a jail cell. Rodney Valentine was released from jail several days ago, after spending two months there for an injury to personal property charge. Rockingham County Jail officials let him go at 8:00 Saturday morning, however five hours later, Valentine was still at the Sheriff’s Office, demanding officers to drive him to motel. Officials told Valentine to find alternative transportation which he declined to do. He would not leave and after repeated warnings by law enforcement, Valentine was arrested again for second degree trespassing.

In another report concerning prison-bound individuals, two Iowa thieves committed an offense just minutes after their release from jail. The two men were released on July 9th at 9:15 in the morning for previous charges of theft and burglary . 20 minutes later and five blocks away from the jail, the men were seen on surveillance, snatching two bicycles and riding off, wearing the same clothes from their release. They were rearrested for 5th degree theft.
