AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to judicial custody for two days in connection with the defamation complaint filed against him by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari. He will be taken to Tihar jail.
The action was taken after Kejriwal refused to pay the bail bond of Rs 10,000. He will be produced in court on May 23.
Kejriwal told the court that he would not furnish a bail bond in the case as it is of a political nature. Instead, he said he would give an undertaking to appear before the court at every hearing.
