Different types of bandages for the horse's legs

  • vor 12 Jahren
The horse's legs have to carry a lot of weight. Not only do they have to manage their own weight, but often times they also have to carry the weight of their rider sitting on their back. To make it a little easier for the sensitive horse legs and to help to relax after a long day different types of bandages have been developed. Some bandages should be applied during work, meaning when the horse is active and either trotting or galloping, and some bandages should be used prior or after work to help the legs relax and replenish. Some bandages are applied hot, or rather warm, while others are applied cold, just like an ice pad. It is very important to know which bandage should be used for which circumstance. Also, the rider has to know how to correctly apply the bandages.
