Christian Aid's Alternative Tax Awards

As part of the Big Tax Return campaign, Christian Aid held its Alternative Tax Awards on Thursday 21 May outside the Hilton Park Lane. www.christianaid.org.uk/tax While the tax industry celebrated their achievements in tax-bill-minimisation, we held our own awards ceremony outside. Winners included Barclays for tax haven enthusiast of the year. We questioned tax professionals as they stepped out of their taxis about the fact that poor countries are losing $160 million a year through tax dodging. The majority of people we spoke to were positive about our campaign.
