George had a son named Simon. George worked hard for many years. Simon lived a very happy life and all his needs and desires were met by his father. But in the long run, Simon became a son who wasted his father’s earnings.
One day, the George said to Simon, “Son, I shall give you my earnings only when you start working and earn money for yourself.”
Simon set out to earn money by working very hard in the fields. At the end of every day, Simon gave his wages to George. But George threw it into the well!
Seeing this repeated for many days, Simon asked George why he was throwing the money into the well.
George replied that he felt the same pain when Simon wasted his hard earned money. Simon understood the value of money only when he started earning it for himself.
Pleased by this, George handed over all his earnings to Simon.
