SPC Scott Daniel Smith, 36, of Indianapolis passed from this life on Friday, June 17th, 2011 while serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Khowst province, Afghanistan.
He was born on March 29, 1975 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to James Daniel and Marva Kay (Shields) Smith.
Scott you are dearly missed and just like your Nephew Austin,you will stay in our Hearts! Have fun in your new Life with Austin and the rest of your Family in Heaven. I know you are watching over your family and just like you did on Earth will continue to protect them. God bless you and your Family and thank God for people like you that protect us all!
Scott will be sadly missed and always remembered by his family and friends including his wife, Kristina Smith; 3 daughters, Brittany Nicole, Cami Marie and Delaney Danielle Smith all of Indianapolis; parents, James D. and Marva Kay Smith of Mooresville; brother, Christopher Smith of Greenwood; and maternal grandmother, Cherie Louise Shields of Indianapolis.
