The Highlanders were FIRED UP and waisted no time to reach to try-line. With BAGPIPES and HOME CROWED BACKING them, they clearly showed their CONFIDENCE WHEN they ATTACKED to have the LEAD at HALF-TIME. Giteau scored a try, but had a HARD KICKING DAY and the Brumbies only really FEATURED when Brown was in the BIN for a PROFESSIONAL FOUL. Then In Sydney the Chiefs CAUGHT the Tahs SNOOZING....The Daily Telegraph slammed the Tahs when they ran with the headline: Short cut’s won’t win title for Tahs. Well, the Tahs might have FLASHED their SNAZZY JERSEY’S but their FITNESS levels might be a bit DISAPPOINTING.... The Tahs had a COMFORTABLE LEAD at halftime, but the Chiefs NEARLY caused an UPSET! Eish it was another headache for the Cheetahs when they failed to beat the Blues, down under... So the Blues where all over the place and clearly dominating this game, with a HUGE lead, UNTIL... The Cheetahs proved they can actually play decent rugby when they sneaked in 3 late tries... The defending Champs made their way overseas to take on the Canes. A different jersey, a new game plan and a team that looks determent... The Canes had NO IDEA what hit them when Morne Steyn started kicking DROP GOALS LIKE IT’S THE NEW THING... Despite Morne contributing 21 points to the Bulls tally the HAWKES BAY TODAY still gave him flack! Well the Canes tried to prove something late in the 2nd half, but it was a shocking display. Then the newcomers face-off with the Force. All-though O'Connor might be a force to be reckoned with, it wasn’t his day. The Rebels STEPPED UP TO THE CHALLENGE and PROVED THEMSELVES! The Rebels might have got off to a slow start, with the Force dominating the 1st half... But the newcomers quickly took control when they ran in two quick tries early in the 2nd half.
