A Scene From Killer's Kiss (adaptation)

Synopsis:
When struggling prize-fighter Davey Gordon tries to protect his neighbor Gloria from her crooked gangster boss Vincent Rapallo, he inadvertently gets his manager killed in place of himself and has no choice but to avenge his manager's death, bring the boss to justice, and save the woman he loves.
This short adaptation was something I really enjoyed making. Kubrick has always been an inspiration to me, and to work with his material was really an excellent experience. I shot this for my Sophomore Production Seminar at Purchase College and it was definitely one of my favorite films I shot that year.
This scene leads into another six minutes which can be found on cinemateque.fr in their section "Kubrick & le web" in conjunction with the Stanley Kubrick Exhibition going on at Cinematheque Francais in Paris, France through March, 2011.
