Astroid 1 -Mock mission to save earth from a killer asteroid

This is the mission - save planet Earth from being struck by a killer asteroid. On Astronomy Day 2008, the Arrowhead Astronomical Society, U.M.D. Astronomy Club and U.M.D. staff attempted to replicate this scenario by sending astronauts up into space, traveling to the asteroid and planting 1,000 hydrazine rockets onto the asteroid to 'steer' it away from impacting the earth.
