Northern Maryland Powerlifting Meet - 3/27/10

I competed in a powerlifting meet this past Saturday. I've been going through Wendler's 5/3/1 program for the past two months with great results. I planned to finish with a bench press of 300 lbs and a deadlift of 500 lbs. Nice clean numbers, and longtime goals. I hadn't moved these numbers yet in training, but the lifts I was making these past two months indicated I could. The bench press felt really strong. Probably good for another 10 lbs, at least. My sumo deadlift technique is new and needs some work, but it felt pretty good too. I placed 2nd in my division and had a great day of lifting. Onto the next competition! (and a 600 lb deadlift!!)
