Best On Screen, Claire Travers: When I first got involved with student media I thought I might have bitten off more than I could chew,but really I couldn’t let the opportunity pass me by. So I threw myself into it, going to auditions and meeting my co-presenter who I really clicked with. We worked together on the script and I choreographed a little dance and made sure we knew the stage directions. I even did some extra advertising on xpressradio. The whole run up was over quickly and on the night, despite technical difficulty, I really enjoyed the whole experience. I have had limited experience with camera work, but my debut went smoothly. I was told I was natural in front of the camera, and easy to watch. Going off the script was seamless and I innately followed the camera. I hope the final edit shows my enthusiasm and the amount of fun I was having on the floor. It is this passion for what I do that should grant me the Best Onscreen award. Even though this was my debut and I was only a first year I threw myself in, bit off that little bit more and had a great time.
