00:00A new way to wake up. Amy and Sean on 1027 VGS. All right, here's what you need to know today.
00:06Ben and Jen, you'll hear in Amy's update coming up at 6.50. Wow, the airport crash over in North
00:12Las Vegas. I, that was so sad. It was so sad to see. I saw it originally on Instagram, I think on
00:21one of the Vegas things. Yeah, and I then I'm like, please tell me that's like old or like
00:27what didn't really just happen and it didn't. It was so sad. Two single engine aircraft. They
00:32are collided over the airfield there in North Las Vegas airport around noon yesterday. Four
00:37people in total passing away in the crash. Two in each plane. NTSB and FAA are going to
00:43investigate. I mean, it is a clear day for the most part. Something, yeah. I mean, I don't
00:50know, but how does that happen? Yeah, it's pretty bad. Yeah. Okay, we're progressively going
00:57from that's a terrible story to what could have been terrible, but actually wasn't that
01:01bad. On the strip, I was actually driving on the 15 and I got a text from a friend of
01:06mine that said, my brother is on the strip right now and I'm having trouble getting in
01:10contact with him. I think there's an active shooter. I'm like, wait, what? And I'm driving
01:14past it and I'm not seeing police everywhere. So I'm like, that can't be right. Turns out it
01:18wasn't right. Saturday night, lots of kerfuffle, lots of people running away from MGM Grand.
01:23There was worries that there was an active shooter. Turns out one of those glass doors
01:27at the valet area just shattered. It happens. Did somebody break it? I don't know. There
01:33were rocks, I think. Yeah. Yeah. But just, you know, so everyone was worried that that
01:37was something. People get up, they run. And people didn't, I saw so many videos. People
01:42were like taking cover, you know, behind like the craps tables and things like that and
01:46then running. And, um, and then I, a friend of mine was down there seeing a comedy show
01:51and she said that it was not handled properly for sure. Like, you know, I mean, people were
01:58getting hurt. I don't know. Is there a way to handle that? I'm not sure. I mean, stampedes
02:04of people. I mean, well, what in it, where are we in this society today? Like, are you supposed
02:09to just pretend it's not a thing, you know? So people err on the side of bad, but luckily it
02:13was not bad, which is good. Okay. Good story. Happy story. Bighorn sheep stuck in the mud
02:19in Lake Mead. Guy named Todd, his wife, Kelly cruising around Lake Mead. They see this bighorn
02:24sheep right along the coastline in the mud. It is like thick. I, I have lost plenty of
02:31shoes there. One time I was like, I'm dead. I'm going to, it was like, uh, what's, what's
02:38the movie in the quicksand? As you wish. Somebody tell us 702-597-1027. We're not movie
02:46people. Oh my gosh. Anyways, I thought I was going to literally die at Lake Mead. Like,
02:51this is it. And I'm sinking and sinking. And they had to send like a little kid out because
02:55he was, he was like the lightest. I'm like, pull me out. Took my shoes. But I survived.
03:01Well, it was the same sort of, uh, it was the same sort of heroics for this bighorn sheep.
03:05Todd got out of the boat, his yapping dog on the boat, screaming and yapping. Uh, Todd
03:11took a rope, roped up the horns of the bighorn sheep and pulled the sheep out. Sheep was
03:17exhausted after trying to struggle to get out of that for God knows how long. Right.
03:21Luckily the, uh, bighorn sheep just hopped away. We have the full video going to be on
03:24our website, mere moments at 1027vgs.com. And if you see Amy on the coastline, just make
03:31sure you have, have your tow rope ready.
