00:00We intend in the course of this GE to roll out our plans clearly to residents, to be able
00:09to back that up with a track record over the last five years and of course for the many
00:13years before that.
00:15And of course elections are really about giving residents, giving Singaporeans choice and
00:20in their decisions that they make, Singaporeans will scrutinise the plans both at the national
00:27level, policy level but also at the local level, what do the different participating
00:32teams bring to the table in terms of what they will do if elected on the ground and not
00:37just at the policy level and also the track record of what they've been able to achieve
00:43in the years before that.
00:44So certainly I think in the days ahead we look forward to presenting what we've done in print
00:52but also directly to our residents through the media as well.
00:56And of course rolling out our plans and proposals for the next five years if given the opportunity
01:01to sign.
01:02Dr Tan Chin Bok is a veteran politician and PAP MP who served the Ayraja SMC for many years.
01:10He has brought benefits to the residents and my team and I respect the work he's done and
01:16the contributions he's made to Singapore and to Ayraja.
01:21What we want to bring to the residents of West Coast and Jurong West is a team that is a
01:27PAP team that is a mix of more experienced candidates together with a team of younger candidates they
01:37will bring in, who will bring in new ideas, fresh ideas that will interact with the older,
01:44more experienced candidates in order to bring our community forward, in order to tackle the
01:52new challenges that we'll face in the years ahead of us and to be able to connect with residents
01:57of all ages and of all backgrounds in our very diverse communities.
02:02That I think is the imperative for all of us here in the PAP team.
