Tarzan of the Apes (1918)

Directed by Scott Sidney, the film follows the story of "John Clayton", a British nobleman who is marooned in the African jungle as a child and raised by apes. As he grows into the mighty Tarzan, he encounters explorers, danger, and his destined love, Jane Porter. With "groundbreaking jungle cinematography, thrilling action sequences, and a faithful adaptation of Burroughs’ tale", this film set the foundation for decades of Tarzan movies.
