'Tarzan of the Apes' is a "1918 silent adventure film", the first-ever adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic novel. Directed by Scott Sidney, the film follows the story of "John Clayton", a British nobleman who is marooned in the African jungle as a child and raised by apes.
