00:00What's goody, man? Joey Franchise here, my dog, BRS Cash. What's up, my G?
00:05What's going on, man? Good to hear from you.
00:08Same, same, same, man. I appreciate you with the shout-out on the record, too, man.
00:12Appreciate that, Doug, for Throw Baby, man. The record's going up, going crazy.
00:17Man, just tell me a little bit about it, man. How did this all come about?
00:20How did BRS Cash, you know what I'm saying, make this wave now?
00:24You know what I mean? Where did it all start?
00:25Okay, so it started, like, I've been doing music since about, since I was, like, 12.
00:31So I started really taking it serious when I was probably about, like, about 14.
00:36So ever since then, I've just been going crazy, and I've been at it, you know what I'm saying?
00:44Hard working, staying at it, not giving up.
00:47The record came about after a crazy encounter one night, you know what I'm saying?
00:53And I was with one of my homegirls, but I looked at her like one of my homeboys,
00:56because, you know, like, she was just cool like that.
00:59So after a crazy night of drinking, you know what I'm saying, it happened.
01:03So I'm like, uh-uh, man.
01:05She was giving the goat throat?
01:08Oh, yeah, yeah.
01:09It was so crazy that I had to make a song about it.
01:13Like, probably literally the next day, I'm in the car listening to a beat from my partner, Chi-Chi.
01:18Came up with the hook.
01:19So I wrote her like, man, I just made a hard song about you.
01:22She, like, sent it to me.
01:23I sent her the words.
01:24Like, she ain't even saying that.
01:25If you're real.
01:27So that's how the song came about.
01:29But I didn't think, like, I didn't really want to, I didn't really take the song serious, you know what I'm saying?
01:34I was just playing around, and I didn't think that it was going to do what it's doing today.
01:37But I thank God that it is doing what it's doing today.
01:40That's good.
01:41Now, she doesn't feel, like, embarrassed about the record coming out and her being the inspiration for it at all?
01:45Um, we don't even, we don't even talk because her boyfriend ended up reading, like, text messages and all that.
01:52Oh, man.
01:53So he blocked me from her phone.
01:54He blocked me from Instagram, all that.
01:56So I know she's probably just like, dang.
01:58Those boyfriends, man, they'll do that.
02:00Yeah.
02:01But he wasn't her boyfriend at the time.
02:03But I guess probably, like, a week later they ended up getting serious, and he was just like, all right, cool.
02:09No more of this.
02:10I'm finished my podcast.
02:11Well, shit, I mean, the song's forever now, so I would be associated with it.
02:17Oh, man, so BRS Cash, tell me about, like, this music act thing, you say he was rapping, started at 12, started taking it seriously, you know, as you got older.
02:25But actually, you're more deep-rooted in the rap game a little bit because your mom was in a rap group.
02:30Yeah, my mom was in a female rap group called Leslie and Lacey back in the day.
02:35But she ended up stopping doing music because my grandma didn't want her doing music.
02:42So she ended up stopping that early, and I just really picked up on it.
02:46Like, it's really in my blood.
02:48Like, if people do research on me, like, before I was BRS Cash, I always had the BRS, the Bankroll Society.
02:55That was my, you know what I'm saying, my little entertainment.
02:58But I was Cash Cash.
02:59So if you, like, do, you know, research, go on live mix, type in Cash Cash, I done featured on a lot of other artist stuff.
03:06You know what I'm saying?
03:06So I've been paving the way.
03:09Now, your grandmother told your moms to stop rapping.
03:12Did your mom encourage you to keep rapping?
03:16She didn't want you rapping either?
03:18I ain't going to say she didn't want me rapping, but she just wanted me to, like, you know, get regular jobs.
03:24But I always said, like, nah, I know what I want to do, and I'm going to stay edge.
03:27Like, I always felt like nine to fives wasn't for me.
03:30You know what I'm saying?
03:31It's just, like, people know what's for them and what's not for them.
03:34So, and every time I try to get a job, like, it only lasts for, like, a month or two months.
03:38So, and I only had, like, three jobs in my life.
03:40So I just knew, like, this music, it was just one way or another.
03:45So I had to.
03:48Nah, I mean, you got a hit record right now on your hands, which is getting millions of views right now on YouTube, Spotify, all that, Apple Music.
03:55So congrats to you on that.
03:56Now, the thing I love about Atlanta and that scene, dog, and, you know, everybody knows, like, a lot of this music pops off in the strip clubs.
04:04What was it like that first time, you know, you heard that record blast off in the strip club, and you just saw the reaction, you know, from, like, dancers, from chicks, dudes, whatever.
04:14Like, where were you at when you knew you had something?
04:18I was actually, after I was spot, it used to be open called The Wind Lounge.
04:24And when I seen, like, the reaction of, like, the football players and all that in there, everybody, like, what song is this?
04:29Like, what is this?
04:30You know what I'm saying?
04:31I'm like, okay, yeah, we might be on the song.
04:33So that was the first club I heard of it.
04:34And then I ended up going to, what strip club was that?
04:38I ended up going to Ace of Clubs.
04:42And I seen, like, all the strippers singing the song, you know what I'm saying, word for word, turned up to it.
04:47So I'm like, okay, you know what I'm saying?
04:49We doing something now.
04:50It's getting somewhere.
04:51So it's definitely a good feeling.
04:53It's a blessing.
04:54That's lit.
04:55And with the song doing so good now, has there other, you know, been people that you've, you know, brushed shoulders with that, you know, maybe want to jump on maybe future records, maybe do a remix to Throw Baby?
05:05Like, have you had these conversations?
05:07Oh, yeah.
05:08I done had a lot of them.
05:09You know what I'm saying?
05:10Like, like you said, I'm creating a new wave.
05:13So, of course, everybody want to get on that wave.
05:15So I done brush shoulders and touch hands with a lot of different folks.
05:18I got a lot of dope records that's on the way.
05:22And I can't wait to, you know what I'm saying, release it.
05:24I'm working on something that I'm releasing in November called Cash 3.
05:28And then after that, I'm going to drop the tape, which is called Six Egg.
05:33Say less.
05:35And, you know, TikTok is a big thing, too.
05:37And with the record now, you know, catching a wave on there, too.
05:40Has any, like, of these TikTokers and, you know, dance chicks or whatever, like, reached out to, like, want to do something to your song?
05:46How does that work out?
05:47I really don't really know how that work out.
05:49I just see folks making videos to it on their own.
05:52You know what I'm saying?
05:53And nobody really just, you know what I'm saying, touch base with me.
05:55Like, oh, yeah, let's do this, do that.
05:57But, you know what I'm saying, I'm glad that folks are actually, you know what I'm saying, doing TikTok dance to it.
06:03That's live.
06:04And you say you got this new Cash 3 project about to drop soon, too?
06:08Yep.
06:08It's called Cash 3.
06:09And basically, it's three songs that I'm going to give you just a little teaser to show you all where it's more than what I got more to offer.
06:17So when y'all, you know, when people hear that, boom, they're going to be ready for the tape to drop.
06:22No doubt.
06:22And with you, you know, being popping as you are right now, especially with the single, is there anybody that you look forward to wanting to work with?
06:30Is there somebody on your wish list to get on the record?
06:33We know that, you know, Drake jumped on the Young Blue record recently.
06:36And, you know, he's been doing this thing for a while.
06:38Is there anybody that you've always been a fan of that you hope to, you know, do something with?
06:42Oh, yeah.
06:42I really want to do something with Chris Brown.
06:45Live.
06:46Chris Brown and Future, too.
06:48Chris Brown and Future, like, those are, like, some of my top two people.
06:52But, like, folks don't even know, like, on the other side of the rap, I kind of do a little, you know, singing on the other side, too.
06:58I mean, shoot, the throat, baby.
07:00Like, that's honestly the best part of it.
07:03Like, that's, like, that catches you.
07:05That's what I brought you in.
07:06That should bring you in.
07:08It's live, man.
07:09All right.
07:09And I salute to you and everything you got going on, man.
07:11I can't wait for this project, what you got going on, too, bro.
07:15Let everybody know where they can follow you at Dog on the Gram, Twitter.

07:31We're going to keep rocking that throat, baby.
07:33Yes, sir.
07:34And hopefully, you know what I'm saying?
07:36Like, somebody got in the background, they getting some goat throat from Shorty or whatever.
07:40You know what I mean?
07:40Hold it down.
07:42Yeah, yeah.
07:42That's the anthem.
