00:13He maintained that since his time in office, Malaysia and ASEAN should have engaged Myanmar's National Unity Government, National Unity Consultative Council, and the nation's public stakeholders.

00:23Saifuddin criticized the ASEAN chair's meeting with the junta for excluding engagement with the NUG, NUCC, and people's stakeholders.

00:32The NUG and NUCC represent Myanmar's government-in-exile formed after the 2021 military coup.

00:39He said Malaysia had consistently refused to recognize the junta during bilateral and multilateral relations, including under Ismail Sabri Yaakob's administration.

00:49Saifuddin added that the junta now controls only about 30 percent of the country and warned against letting it use the recent earthquake to normalize international relations, accusing it of weaponizing aid.

01:01On Monday, Anwar said the meeting aimed to urge the junta to extend a ceasefire to facilitate humanitarian aid and affirmed that Malaysia would continue its assistance, including a temporary field hospital run by the Malaysian Armed Forces.
