00:00My name is Michael Hanate and I am the Community Fundraising Officer for Scotland's charity Air Ambulance
00:06and I cover NHS Highland.
00:08Tell me just a little bit about the charity, what exactly it does and who it benefits.
00:14Yeah, so SCA operate all over Scotland.
00:18So we get dispatched from the NHS Dispatch Service and we will attend anyone in need.
00:24So our main purpose is no one in Scotland should die because help can't get there on time.
00:29And you told me earlier what an average mission costs.
00:32Yeah, so our average mission cost is around about £4,500.
00:36So to keep SCA operational we do have to raise as much funds as possible.
00:40And you find that when people have had calls to use the service they are generally quite keen to...
00:46Yeah, so we do get a lot of support from past patients and their families
00:51which is absolutely fantastic for what we are trying to do.
00:55And when you heard about this fundraiser what was your reaction to that?
00:59I was blown away by it. I think it's absolutely fantastic what the community are doing.
01:04Everyone pulling together to actually support Alma and her family and to raise money for the charities.
