00:00Hello, my name's Nathan Evans and I'm here with Mikey's Lying Charity.
00:05Now, everyone goes through their own struggles and their own problems in life,
00:09but if it wasn't for the lows, then the highs wouldn't feel very high.
00:13I just want to tell you and let you all know that I promise
00:16there is light at the end of the tunnel.
00:18Take me as an example.
00:20I made a voice note on the 18th of August 2020 and it was the worst,
00:25worst point of my life.
00:27Six months later, Wellerman blew up and completely changed my life
00:32in the blink of an eye.
00:34That voice note went on to be what is now the start of Paper Planes,
00:39which is a song on the album.
00:42So I promise, just take me as an example,
00:45there is light at the end of the tunnel.
00:47It might seem like there isn't at times,
00:49but I know from experience there is.
00:52So just keep your head up and keep going.
00:55I use my music as a sort of therapy and when I put it out into the world,
01:00hopefully other people can relate.
01:02One of my favourite lyrics that mean the most to me on my most recent album
01:06is from a little song called I'm a Man and it goes a little bit like this.
01:11I'm a man, I'm ocean deep.
01:14What you know of me is what I'll let you see.
01:17My soil is rich with secrets sworn to keep,
01:20but with you my tongue is loose and my heart is free.
01:24Speaking out loud to someone face to face makes more of a difference
01:28than you can ever, ever imagine.
01:30It might seem like the hardest task ever,
01:32but honestly it works wonders.
