00:00So, Landville found this trade evaluation tool, and now that it seems like the market
00:09has kind of been set, like Kubiak got the Seahawks job, I mean, that Saints offense
00:15was cooking early. See what happens there. So we got this trade evaluation tool looking
00:20at all the trades in the NFL and then kind of comparing them to each other, which I think
00:25at least provides some level of like a valid metric when you're comparing everything that
00:30happened this offseason against the other moves. So for the Debo trade, obviously Washington
00:35got Debo Niners got a fifth round pick number one 47. This trade evaluation gave Washington
00:43a B plus and the Niners a B. I'm reading now Debo Samuel's fit in Washington is legit.
00:49He might be coming off a down season, but he can still gobble up yak in 2024 Samuel
00:53tie was a flowers for the fifth most yards after the catch over expected. You know why
00:59co among NFL receivers with 120 behind only Jamar Chase, CeeDee Lamb, AJ Brown and Puka
01:05Nakua. That's good company for a wideout who recently admitted to being 10 pounds over
01:09his listed weight of 215. Commanders coordinator Cliff Kingsbury's love of screens and getting
01:14his playmakers in space should be a boon setting up potential bounce back season for Debo.
01:19This move is much like Houston's acquisition of Steph Diggs. Last year, Washington is getting
01:24a motivated player who will match well with wide receiver one, Terry McClure. I keep reading,
01:32but generally I seem to really agree with this. I think Peter's even said in Florida
01:38the other day, he's like, listen, I really liked Debo. And the fact that we got him for
01:42a fifth, I really liked Debo.
01:43And I think the thing about Debo is, uh, I think part of his down is starting to deteriorate
01:51was they wanted to use him more like a running back because that is Kyle thing run first.
01:57So they were putting him in the backfield, running them through the tackles and all that
02:00type of stuff. I don't care that he's physical. His body bill is not made for running inside
02:06a tackle, but what Cliff does gets him on edges. And I don't know many defensive backs,
02:12especially cornerbacks who wants to deal with him one-on-one. You know, he gives people
02:18in front of him blocking and you leave a lot of safeties and these corners, Debo is going
02:23to destroy them. So I think if he'll be more effective in this office than he even was
02:29in another office, because out there, you know, that, that, that wear and tear, you
02:34start to take some pounding. It changes your mindset.
02:37I think it's, I think Kingsbury and Jaden, I just think it's such a good fit that a fifth
02:45is easy money, man. And maybe it's a little different now that they've converted the money
02:51to guarantees. Um, I mean, I'm all for adding incentives for everybody. If they got the
02:59guy at a fifth round pick and they think that they won and they, whether he has a guarantee
03:04to not, I think that deal works. He's going to get the money. He's going to get almost
03:09all of it as a roster bonus. Anyway. Yeah. So, um, I think, uh, it's what did the smart
03:18person text me? Yeah. And by converting it to guarantees now eliminates a whole bunch
03:26of dead money exposure next year. Yeah. So it, it worked. I set themselves up to where
03:30in the future, they don't have to be hindered by anything.
