BMitch & Finlay react to the breaking news that the Washington Commanders have traded for four time Pro-Bowler Marshon Lattimore from the New Orleans Saints.

00:00Brian and I believe in a relatively simple concept that opportunity does not knock.
00:05You go and you kick down goddamn doors when there's an opportunity.
00:09And I think that's what Washington just did. So everybody that wants to
00:15know if they think they are in a competitive place, they just told you. The biggest question
00:23mark for this team was corner, and they just made a major move.
00:30Schefter and the NFL Network guys were first, Rapp, Pellicero, wherever you heard it from.
00:35I've confirmed it. The Washington Commanders just traded for New Orleans cornerback Marshawn
00:43Lattimore, four-time Pro Bowler, Defensive Rookie of the Year. There were a number,
00:49a number of teams interested in a player of this caliber because he's really good.
00:55This is a true corner one CB one. And if what we're seeing reports are that they had to trade
01:04what looks like a third rounder in a lot of ways, be Adam Peters just turned
01:10Jahan Dotson into Marshawn Lattimore. That's a hell of a plus.
01:13I think if you're wondering how this impacts the depth chart, I think if you're manual Forbes,
01:21you got to kind of wonder about your roster spot, frankly, but I think you're looking at
01:26Lattimore and maybe it continues to be BSJ or Igbenogany. Sam still has been forced to play
01:34on the outside, not necessarily the best spot for him, but he's been better than what they've had
01:38lately. Yeah. But Sarah still could be a damn good slot for you.
01:45That was the most people played three receivers. The vision was always for
01:48Sam still to play the slot. They just needed him to move outside. So he has
01:52and Noah, Noah, I know what he plays well. So I mean, look, they are now having the extra guy
02:00that they have confidence in because you don't trade for prison. You don't have confidence in
02:03them. Yeah. I think as far as Washington's concerned, you might have to, you might have
02:10to guarantee some of this money on his deal. I'm sure you're not making this deal without
02:15at least some level of conversation with Lattimore's people. The other part here is,
02:21I mean, at some point you got to look at the NFC and you've got to look at your potential,
02:26just within the division, your competition. And what are the Eagles have big stud receivers
02:33when AJ Brown's playing for Philly, that's a damn good team. And I think this is part to
02:41compete in a division with Philly. The lions are the one seed right now in the NFC. The commanders
02:46are the two seed right now in the NFC Detroit this morning traded for Zedarius Smith to bolster
02:52their pass rush. Like at some point you got to look around and see what you got, what they got,
02:58how do I beat them? And I think this is a direct move towards that end.
