00:00This year, DTI will once again host the Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair.

00:04An event that is not just a food expo,

00:07but a celebration of the culture and tradition of food.

00:11This is an opportunity to showcase the flavors of Filipino cuisine

00:17and get to know the local businessmen behind their products.

00:22And to provide more information about this event,

00:26we have with us today the Assistant Director of the Bureau of Market Development, Promotions, and Autop,

00:31Mr. Jericho Nomoro, as well as one of the executors here, Jessen Mark-Makilan.

00:46What is the purpose of this 2025 National Food Fair?

00:56Since the National Food Fair started in 2014,

01:02the only purpose of this is to showcase the different food products

01:09coming from different regions of the Philippines.

01:12We want to give them the right platform so that they can see and access the wider market

01:19so that we can help our beneficiaries,

01:22which is our micro, small, medium, and enterprises.

01:27And this year, we will feature, aside from the products that we are used to,

01:36we will also have new products,

01:39the so-called level-up products when it comes to packaging,

01:44and of course, that showcase innovation as well,

01:48such as fresh produce, processed food products.

01:53As you can see, we have samples here on our table.

02:11We always prepare for our participation here.

03:06Can you explain to us how the businessmen and MSMEs

03:12will be participating in this exhibition?

03:14One of the things that our shoppers will be looking forward to this year

03:17at the National Food Fair is the officially launching of the DTI Bago Pilipinas Marketplace,

03:26which is primarily aimed at making the B2B process,

03:34or what we call our business-to-business transaction, digital.

03:37We will involve and onboard more than 1,500 to 1,000 MSMEs during the event.

03:48We will have a booth where our MSMEs who want to join the platform

03:56will help us register.

03:59Their products will be showcased on the platform.

04:05If you're in the Philippines and you're looking for a coffee supplier,

04:13you can just type in coffee and all the suppliers that we have nationwide

04:18will be shown on the platform.

04:20So when you mean B2B, business-to-business,

04:23so for instance, this is the exhibitor,

04:27then another business can get it as a supplier?
