01:12Jean, paano ka ba nagsimulan magnegosyo?
01:16Ikaw ay batang-bata, kumbaga forever young.
01:21I mean, okay.
01:23Nag-start po ako when I was 13 years old.

02:10Ano ang mga influencer sa iyong buhay?
02:13Hindi po eh.
02:15Okay, nag-e-start ako na sa family namin.
02:17Ako po yung first business, mayroong business mind thing eh.
02:22Parang ganun.
02:23Siguro, ano lang, masyado lang po akong, parang I want something on my own.
02:30Kailangan ko na, kasi I want more eh.
02:33Parang ganun.
02:34So, I have my parents naman na sinusupport ako sa e-school.
02:38Pero, ayokong ibigay sa kanila yung parang gusto ko to, kailangan nihingin ko pa.
02:43So, I have the capabilities naman to, why not invent something like this?
02:48Magbenta rin ako ng greyhumpu before, mga ganyan.
02:51Wow!
02:52And then t-shirt.
02:55Sa t-shirt, wala akong nilalabas na pera.
02:57Hindi pa po uso ang online selling noon.
03:00Nag-online sell na ako sa Facebook.
03:02Kumbaga, ginagamit ko yung pera ng mga client.
03:05And then, ayun yung gagawin kong puhunan.
03:08And then, kuhunin ko na yung tubo doon.
03:10So, wala akong nilalabas na money.
03:12Ganun po nang ganun every week.
03:14Tapos papagawa ko sa Victory Mall kung alam ng mga viewers natin.
03:18Victory Mall, doon sa may monumento?
03:21Yes po.
03:22Tama.
03:23So, parang ang laki ng influence niyo ng pagiging entrepreneur.
03:27You never had any experience working sa corporate?
03:31Ay, oo nga po.
03:32Ayun nga po ang kulang sa akin.
03:34I have many experiences when it comes to entrepreneurship.
03:38Being an employee, ayun ang kulang ako at wala ako.
03:42Lalo na sa corporate world.
03:43I've tried applying before sa may Jollibee and McDo.
03:49Siguro sobrang payat ko nun sir, hindi ako nakuha.
03:55Sinuyod ko lahat.
03:57Sabi ko sa parents, bakit kaya di nila kinukuha?
04:01Ako bigay ako ng bigay ng resume.
04:03Kasama ko pa yung cousin ko nun if I remember.
04:06And then wala, wala pong kumukuha sa akin.
04:09Hindi ako na-employ.
04:11So marami kang tinahak na daan.
04:15In other words, nag-try ka mag-apply, hindi ka naman tinatanggap.
04:20But you never seem to, parang hindi kayo sumuku agad na,

04:29You never stop. You're always bound to be resilient.
04:34O sir, kasi para sa akin sir, ewan ko kung bakit ganun.
04:38Siguro the way din ako palaki ng magulang ko is,
04:41hanggat may buhay, kaya mo pag-umalaw,
04:44dawin mo lang ang gawin.
04:45Kasi hindi mo rin malalaman na yung sagot hanggat hindi mo tinatry.
04:50And if you fail, di-try ulit.
04:52At least may natutunan ka dun sa failure na yun.
04:54Parang ganun po ang turo sa akin ng magulang ko.
04:57So in other words, mayroon kasi iba, nag-fail lang, nagmumokmok na, hindi ba, ayaw na.
05:02So render na.
05:03Pero ikaw may probably ang lakas na loob mo,
05:07despite the fact that hindi ka naman nag-aaral ng formal na entrepreneurship.
05:12Yes. Actually sir, tinatapos ko yung first course ko ngayon,
05:17yung BS Travel Management which is hindi siya connected sa entrepreneurship.
05:22Afterwards, by next year 2025, magmamasteral ko sa Business Administration para mag-add up sa knowledge ko.
05:31Yung tinatapos ko, parang kailangan ko ng corporate background about business and entrepreneurship.
05:41Parang kumbaga sa iyo, learning does not stop.
05:44Although ikaw ay stable naman sa negosyo mong iba-iba,
05:48but sa iyo may kulang ka pa na education is not something you can neglect.
05:55Parang ganun, lumalabas.
05:57Yes sir, kasi our world is evolving and learning never stops.
06:03So after the tuhog-tuhog, after the t-shirt, ano yung pinasok pang negosyo?
06:12And then after that sir, nung when I was in college naman,
06:16pumasok ko, nag-sideline ako ng mga brand ambassadorship.
06:22At the same time, dun ko pinasok yung franchising.
06:26So nag-start ako sa Squeeze & Go.
06:29And then, hindi ko pa alam ng franchising na yun na parang may gusto bumili nung idea mo.
06:35So ako, inaral ko lang, pero without yung exact knowledge na ano ba yung franchising,
06:41yung sistema, yung bibili, and so on and so forth.
06:44And then, trinay ko lang sila tulungan hanggang sa nagkaroon ng franchises,
06:48like more than 12 ba yun?
06:50If I remember, kasi tagal na yun eh, parang mga when I was parang 21, 22 years old nun.
06:57And then, ayun po.
06:59And then, nag-try ako naman ng iba habang nandun yun,
07:02nag-add po ako ng mga Japanese food.
07:06Ako naman po yung nag-franchise, kasi ang akin,
07:09if gusto ko yung binibenta ko, ako yung number one customer nun.
07:13So nag-franchise ako, and then nakipag-usap ako sa owner nun
07:17na pwedeng mag-rebrand ako.
07:20And then, nagkaroon naman din siya ng franchises.
07:23But how long did it last, bago ka lumipat sa yung present business na Tatakan PH?
07:32Actually, it lasts only like magtapos ng pandemic, natapos na yun.
07:37Pero thank God, hindi kami na-affectahan.
07:41Lumakas pa kami kasi we do online selling nung lemon and yung takoyaki.
07:46And meron nangyayari yun.
07:48We have the capability na tumulong dun sa mga nangangailangan nung panahon ng pandemic.
07:53So we did that dun sa konting kinikita namin sa franchising.
07:58Meron lang akong natutunan dun sa mga branch ko na yun.
08:02Kasi dumaki po talaga siya.
08:04Like, dun kami yung branches around Metro Manila is over-expansion.
08:11So lahat ng money is doon na ilagay.
08:14So sabi ko okay lang kung naluge, natapos na.
08:18Kaya ako nag-focus na sa Tatakan.
08:21Paano mo naman na-discover tong Tatakan? Atsaka yung pangalan, ang ganda.
08:26Hindi mo na kailangan na-memorize it, sabi nga.
08:30Yun sa Tatakan naman sir because galing from franchising na kailangan ng packaging.
08:38So sabi ko kailangan ng branding.
08:41E di una nun, nag-order ako sa ibang company.
08:45Sabi ko, bakit ang tagal?
08:47Bakit tapos kulang pa, there's so many lapses dun sa nagyaring service.
08:53Sabi ko, why not ako na lang?
08:55So I have this little money na bumili ako ng machine, nag-training ako mismo.
09:02And then inaral ko talaga siya for like one year.
09:06Hindi siya is-smooth. Tataong hindi is-smooth. Ang daming reject and all.
09:10And then sabi ko, ako na lang magbibigay ng packaging dun sa mga brands ko.
09:15And then after that, ayun po sabi ko, nung umu-okay na na kapag-produce na, in-open ko na siya pa-isa-isa sa ibang brands, mga brand owner din.
09:26May nagtiwala naman po, nag-start kami sa bahay lang.
09:31In other words, what? Huwag mo sabihin sa aking garahe.
09:35Bali ganoon po siya. Up and down po kasi yung bahay namin noon.
09:40I have yung partner po noon, pero yung partner ko is namatay siya nung pandemic.
09:49Siya yung katungang ko doon.
09:51And then nangyari po yun, dun kami sa bahay lang.
09:55Yung machine pa namin manual talaga.
09:59Wow! Mano-mano.
10:00Mano-mano yung gawa.
10:02Gawa sa bakal and kailangan ng malakas na katawan para magawa po yun.
10:08Pare, parang nag-gym ka na rin yan, Jean?
10:11Yes, totoo po.
10:13Na-exercise ka na dahil mano-mano yan.
10:16So anyway, ganoon kalaki na ang tatakan?
10:19Kasi parang nakikita ko may warehouse ka na.
10:22Naka-solar panel ka na rin.
10:27Very aggressive to si Jean, ladies and gentlemen.
10:33Bali, yung tatakan ngayon sir is turning 4 years na po.
10:38Yung SJGA trading, yung OPC, yung company ko mismo is turning 4 years.
10:44Pero yung tatakan po is 7 years na.
10:47Bali, ngayon po yung tatakan has 2 warehouses.
10:53Yung una po, etong warehouse na ito, we will turning this into releasing area and office admin checking area na po.
11:03And then yung mga lawang warehouse po which is malapit lang rin dito,
11:07mas malaki po siya and gagawin po namin siya lahat po ng operation is doon na po siya gagawin.
11:14So ilan tauhan ka no nagsimula ka at ngayon? Ilan ang tauhan mo ngayon?
11:19Vote sa'yo.
11:22Nag-start po ako na dalawa lang po yung staff ko.
11:25And then yung isa wala na, yung isa until now magpo 4 years na po siya na kasama ko.
11:32And now ilan ang tauhan mo? Ilan ang inilaki ng tauhan mo?
11:39Sir, bali ngayon nasa 28.
11:44Wow! 28 ha?
11:46So from 2 to 28. So ngayon ano ang mga products na tatakan?
11:55Actually sir, we do direct printing on different, before food packaging only but now we diverse into all kinds of packaging.
12:05Name it, we can do it like editing po.
12:09We can do R&D kung ano yung kailangan ng client.
12:14And then ang target ng tatakan ngayon is to nationwide.
12:20And efficiency pagdating sa client mas mura, kahit nasa Mindanao pa siya mas mura ang delivery fee.
12:30We will do that this year.
12:32And expansion kasi hanggat bata pa ako go lang doon.
12:38So ngayon ang network mo nasaan lang? Luzon lang ang distribution?
12:44Actually sir, nationwide na po siya pero mas madami po kasi namin is Luzon and Visayas.
12:50Yung Mindanao po, meron kami konti pero gusto ko kasing mangyari is as in Luzon-Visayas-Mindanao if why not lahat?
13:00I mean like 50% of the Philippines.
13:05Oo, hindi bawal managinip.
13:08Oo, tama.
13:09Oo, kaya lang talaga lakas loob yan.
13:12But tell me how competitive ang market mo? I'm sure very competitive ang business mo tatakan.
13:18Actually sir, saturated po ang market ng packaging.
13:22It only, siguro ang unique proposition namin is service po.
13:30And then yung relationship sa client namin.
13:33We never stop na after mo mag-order sa amin is doon na tayo magtatapos.
13:39Ang sa amin is yung after sales.
13:42After sales care or pag natanggap mo na, give us your feedback.
13:49We're more on client-oriented ba ang tawag doon or relationship doon mismo sa client namin.
14:00Oo, may nakita nga ako sa page mo na may feedback. Nakailang beses na nag-order, 9,000 something cups and they're happy.
14:10I think basically, Jane, ang pinakamagandang sinabi mo yung customer-oriented.
14:15Hindi yung first time nag-order, that's the first task.
14:19Kumbaga ni ikaw probably, ikaw ang humaharap, ikaw ang nag-market din with them.
14:28So right now, basically yun ginagawa mo. Kasi hindi yung pinapaubaya mo sa mga empleyado.
14:34Hindi mo pinagawa mo na sila, yung PO bahala na, sige lang order ng order.
14:41But you're more concentrated.
14:43Bakit sa tingin mo importante ito?
14:46Actually sir, lahat ng part ng department dito, actually lahat is alam ko.
14:53Kasi hindi siya mabubuo and hindi siya mag-fly yung business mismo.
14:58Small business man yan or big business kung yung may-ari mismo walang alam kung ano bang ginagawa na ito, ito and so forth.
15:06And then after that delegation na lang ng mga head or managers mo para kahit papano may alam ka or alam mo yung sinasabi mo doon sa team mo.
15:17And for me that's important because pag hindi mo alam yung ginagawa mo, madali kang maloko ng tao lalo na ngayon.
15:28Pag ganito kasi yung age sir, medyo ang tao kahit empleyado mo yan, meron silang benefit of the doubt na parang kaya ba niya? Tama ba itong pinasukan namin?
15:40In other words, baka formal lang naman ito.
15:45Pero I think basically you're telling them, para maganda yung ginagawa mo, you're doing everything because you want to prove to them that you know.
15:55Which is really, ito yung totoong pagiging entrepreneur. Alam mo lang in the beginning you're a visionary but you're not an implementer.
16:05Kasi may negosyanteng ganoon, I'm sure may mga nakilala ka, hanggang vision pagdating sa implementation jurassic na yung alam nila.
16:17Lalo na ngayon sir sa social media kasi ang kita lang ng tao or yung mga gusto mag-start ng business is yung like yung glitz and glamour na parang wow you're a CEO or owner ng business.
16:30Pero behind that, before naman siya maging kano, there's always yung lahat yan dapat alamin mo. Hindi man ikaw mismo yung gagawa lahat ng yan.
16:39Pero you know how to delegate the task dun sa team mo and dun ka lalaki.
16:44So how do you keep up with your life, Jean? What are your waking hours or is it always waking hours, no more sleeping hours ba?
16:54Or how do you balance your life? You're young, I'm sure you're full of energy and I'm sure yung mga nanonood sa atin,
17:02I wake up at 4am in the morning, it's more on discipline po. Kasi pag wala kang discipline kahit motivated ka walang mangyayari, mag-procrastinate ka lang.
17:24It's all true. Kasi pag disiplinado ka, you're having a bad day or good day or lahat na ng adrenaline is everything na nandyan na.
17:34If you are disciplined, magagawa mo yung task mo for the whole day and yung whole week ko po is planado na siya.
17:41For example, before this week, alam ko na yung mangyayari for the whole week. So kung meron mang sisingit na mga task, medyo mahirap siya for me or gagawin sa list siya.
17:58I need to do muna yung mga gagawin ko. And then next is, kailangan is, I need to exercise to keep me going.
18:06Kasi alam mo Jean, tama yang sinabi mo, natumbok mo yan. Kasi marami mga entrepreneur, negosyo na negosyo, trabaho ng trabaho pero pag tinamaan ng sakit, mas mahal pa yung panggamot kesa sa kinita.
18:24Anong klaseng regime of your exercises that you do?
18:29Actually sir, for the whole week I do, ayusin ko siya, i-compartmentalize ko siya. I do muay thai, boxing, I ride motorcycle on the track, not on the highways or public roads.
18:43Wow! On the track! Oh my gosh! Saan ka nagtracking?
18:46Clark Pampanga.
18:48Oh yeah, right. Yung track doon sa loob.
18:54Racing motorcycle pang race.
18:57Kasi pag inugnay mo or kinonect mo sir yung business into being an athlete or doing this physical activities, it's more on the same.
19:09Kasi you keep pushing harder and if you push harder, there's a equivalent na syempre gaganda yung katawan mo. At the same time, same din sa business.
19:19If you keep pushing harder, maganda yung kalalabasan. Ngayon lang yan mahirap and all of the challenges, ano yung mga problema na dumadating sa atin, it always transform into wisdom and knowledge.
19:31Sa ngayon hindi mo pa alam yung nangyayari. What's happening? Bakit ganito? Gumaguho na ba? No, it's not.
19:40Tell me about this. Ako na touch ako sa meron kang foundation wherein you allot a certain percentage of your profit. Bakit nagkaroon ka ng ganong advocacy Jean?
19:56Actually sir, it started nung wala pa po kami. Parang ako'y normal na tao pa rin po naman ngayon. Pero nung hindi pa naman ganun yung malaki yung kinikita ko.
20:09It's like, ang focus po kasi ng foundation is yung mga bata and yung mga special child. Especially sila, yung mga special child.
20:18Ang akin kasi is hindi nila kasalanan kung ano yung nangyayari nila sa kanila ngayon. And I want to also inspire other business person to let's share what we have.
20:30And in that, magkakaroon tayo ng more on like value or worth. And kumbaga parang for me, ano yung purpose ko bilang tao?
20:46And my purpose is, aside from living for myself and for my family, it's also being the steward of Jesus. On spreading His blessing to other people.
21:02So how do you now see yourself? Are you a person who has come 360 degrees, you are now self-made, you are now making a dent in the community, in the business world?
21:31Eto ba nakikita mo na-achieve mo na or you still want more?
22:01So maganda yan. Aabangan natin yan Jean. Two years from now, you're talking 26, 27, 29.
22:14Well hindi naman siguro. Pero ako, I'm really happy. Siguro Jean, last thing, every second counts. Nagmo-model ka para sa product. You're fond of modeling yourself also as we can see.

22:35Magaling ha. Baka maraming magpa-podcast yan sa mga manonood. So anyway Jean, tell me for our viewers, ano yung mga dalawa o tatlong lessons na pwede mong ibahagi sa mga kabataan na nagahanap ng kabuluhan sa buhay?
22:52Like you for example, years ago, ano ang pwede mong maipayo?
22:59Like what I've said earlier is number one, kung ano yung, kasi lahat tayo may kanya-kanya gusto sa buhay. It's either businessman yan, trabaho or nag-aaral ka man ngayon, just do it.
23:12Parang sabi nga ng Nike. For you to know the answer or the result, just do it. Start it now. Kasi wala nang bukas, wala nang susunod na araw.
23:24In other words, procrastination is not the word for you.
23:28Correct po, opo.
23:29Opo, diba?
23:31Yes.
23:32And then how about capital? Kasi marami nagsasabi, hindi ako makapag-negoso. Siguro suwerte yan si Ms. Jean, mayroon siyang puhunan. Tama ba yan?
23:43Hindi po. Sabi ko kanina, nag-T-shirt ako. Ang gamit ko is pera ng client ko mismo. I just have this idea and yung free application ng internet, like ang gamit nun is Canva.
23:57Hindi pa kilala yung Canva before, pero now yung lahat gamit nila eh. Ngayon pala. Nag-e-edit lang ako. If you have that idea, just earn from it.
24:09Hindi mo naman kailangan ng malaking puhunan para makapag-start ka ng business. Ang kailangan mo lang is yung sarili mo.
24:16Million?
24:17Oo. Hindi mo kailangan ng million para mag-start. If kaya mo magsimula ng maliit pa lang, for sure kapag naging malaki yan, mapaparol mo yan and everything will follow.
24:30So kung ano meron kang halaga ngayon, isipin mo paano mo siya mabibenta kung ano man gusto mong simulan na business this 2025.
24:41That's true. Pero ikaw ba ay kagaya ng mga iba, mga kabatanin, afektohan pag may mga nagkikritis, nagbabash, lalo sa social media. How do you do it? You don't seem to be bothered by that.
24:57Para bang ikaw ay isang tao na bahala kayo sa buhay nyo, ako I will be productive, I will work for my advocacy.
25:06Actually sir, yung mga feedback, negative man yan or positive, we always see that as a constructive criticism. Kasi if walang pumupunas sayo, you're doing wrong.
25:18Ibig sabihin hindi ka nagkakamali. The more na nagkakamali ka, the more you are trying, the more na may feedback, the more na ina-acknowledge mo yung feedback, lalo kung negative, the more ka mag-grow.
25:33Bilang tao, personal man yan, bilang business owner, lalo mga business owner, we really need feedbacks. Kasi kung wala tayong feedbacks, I think you're doing wrong. You're doing something wrong.
25:46Walang pumapansin sayo, bahala ka sa buhay mo. So yan ang nangyayari. But anyway, so again Jean, I'm really so blessed to see you, to have met you, to see your tatakan because I have so many people that I refer to tatakan and they're so happy.
26:06They cannot believe the pricing. They cannot believe that Jean mismo nakikipag-usap. This is something very remarkable because yan ang parating may feedback.
26:21Sabi ko, si Ms. Jean pala yung nag-detect sa akin. Sabi ko, bakit ka nagtataka? Kasi karamihan ng beses, parabang si ganito, si ganito, akas ko si meare. Wala kang bureaucracy. You really go down immediately and take action.
