00:00Republicans in the Florida House voted to undo millions of dollars in cost savings that
00:06I instituted back in June of 2024 when I signed the budget for this fiscal year, and over
00:11the last two months, they have voted to undo more than $60 million in taxpayer savings,
00:19choosing to spend more in this fiscal year when we're almost at the end of it anyways.
00:24They have not addressed pressing issues that Floridians care about.
00:28We need relief from the condo crisis.
00:31We need to enact permanent protections for medical freedom.
00:35We need a universal E-Verify to strengthen our existing laws against illegal immigration,
00:42and we need a Florida First tax package that will reduce the number one tax that is hurting
00:48Floridians, which is property tax.
00:52People need relief.
00:53They want it, and we need to deliver it for them.
00:55I appreciate that the Florida Senate has had productive discussions about how to help
00:59with the property tax burden.
01:02That's what we need to be doing, not trying to put more money into this budget at the
01:07end of the fiscal year.
