00:00The gentleman from the Palmetto State is recognized for as much time as he may consume.
00:06Thank you so much.
00:08You know, it's really laughable, and as the listening audience and those watching on TV,
00:16to hear my good friend, Mr. McGovern, talk about defunding the police.
00:21They're the party that wanted to defund the police.
00:24Their vice presidential candidate put up money to pay the rioters to get out of jail.
00:30He talks about the military.
00:34We've had four years of a Biden administration that ran the military off with the wokeness and DEI.
00:41Enrollments are up at record levels.
00:44President Trump has been in office now for, what, 49 days?
00:48Look what he's done.
00:54The fact that he mentions cutting Social Security.
00:58There's nothing about Social Security that's in this bill.
01:01He mentions, I guess Will mentioned, cutting Medicaid.
01:05There's nothing about cutting Medicaid in here.
01:08So what they're doing is just using scare tactics.
01:11But the American people aren't buying it.
01:15They had four years to have their way with the government, and look what it brought.
01:22High taxes, high gas prices, high egg prices.
01:27Why?
01:28Why did the 77 million vote them out of office?
01:31Because of their policies.
01:33And President Trump, in 49 days, is bringing it back.
01:38If they get back in control, the main thing they will try to get a concession on is to defund,
01:45they keep saying, the billionaire Elon Musk.
01:48I'm sorry, Elon Musk didn't make it from government.
01:53He made it from producing a product.
01:56And guess what he has had the mind and the genius to find?
02:05They support these things that he found in the different agencies, mainly leading off of USAID.
02:12And I want everybody to listen to see if you agree with this.
02:16For the taxpayers, what Elon Musk found, 2 billion, which was part of a greenhouse gas emission fund.
02:26Guess where it went?
02:28Stacey Abrams.
02:30Is that where the taxpayers want their money spent?
02:34$1 million to Social Security Administration's Gen X initiative marker.
02:39Is that where the taxpayers want their money to go?
02:42$45 million, diversity, equity, and inclusion scholarship in Burma.
02:48In Burma.
02:50How does that work?
02:53$182 million health and human services contracts, including $168,000 for an Anthony Fauci exhibit at the NIH.
03:06Folks, this would be funny if it wasn't so serious.
03:11$2.5 million to promote inclusion in Vietnam.
03:15I'm not going to waste the time, but this is just a short list of how this president, under Elon Musk, is identifying waste, fraud, and abuse.
03:27And all the things that you're saying are just not true.
03:30I sat through this. You mentioned this was like needles in your eyes.
03:34Hearing you say these things is worse than that, because it's just untrue.
03:38What this bill does, it extends the funding.
03:41And I'm typically not for CRs.
03:43There's no way to do business.
03:45But it extends funding with fixed spending of 2,024 levels.
03:52It includes anomalies requested by the Trump administration to support immigration enforcement efforts to deport criminals.
04:01Their party was the one that opened the gates to America.
04:04How is that working out?
04:06How about the deaths?
04:08And we had the mothers and fathers in this audience.
04:11Guess who didn't stand? Anybody in your party.
04:14No one didn't have the decency to stand up for the little boy with cancer who wanted to be a police officer.
04:24These total anomalies, which increase defense discretionary spending by $6 billion, it cuts non-defense discretionary spending by $13 billion.
04:34It reduces the overall federal spending for fiscal year 25 below the 24 levels.
04:40And guess what? Y'all remember the, you remember the, what, 87,000 IRS agents that are going to harass the taxpayers?
04:50This bill cuts $20 billion out of it.
04:53It does away with it.
04:55And this president is just getting started.
04:57I doubt we will have any support from the Democrat side, which I don't expect.
05:04This bill is going to pass.
05:06And the country is in better shape.
05:08You had your time four years ago.
05:10And how did that work out for the American people?
05:12Not too good.
05:14I fully support this bill.
05:18And Madam Chairman, I yield the balance of my time.
