At least 5GB of additional data will be given free to all Malaysians on the first day of Hari Raya, says Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi, who is also the government spokesman, said this will cover those under the mobile network operators CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, TM Tech, YTL Communications, Pavo Comms, Tune Talk, redOne, REDtone and XOX Com.

00:00I also have a special announcement for Eid al-Fitr.
00:11This is the first time that the Ministry of Communications is trying,
00:14if other ministries have their own special gift program for Eid al-Fitr and also for the festive season,
00:21then I would like to announce that the government of Madani,
00:26through the Ministry of Communications,
00:28with strategic cooperation of telecommunications providers,
00:32will implement the Rebate Rahmah incentive grant
00:36in the form of a minimum data quota of 5GB
00:41to all telecommunications users in Malaysia,
00:48both pre-paid and post-paid,
00:51on the first Eid al-Fitr.
00:55This data quota is valid for a minimum of 24 hours,
01:01according to the terms and conditions of the telecommunications providers,
01:08namely Celcom Digi, Maxis, U Mobile, TM Tech, YTL Communications,
01:16Pavo Comms, Tune Talk, Red One, Red Tone, and XOX Comm.
01:24The Rebate Rahmah incentive grant for Eid al-Fitr
01:28is hoped to help to spread the word of God,
01:31especially through telecommunications,
01:35alongside the celebration of Eid al-Fitr this year.

01:46and the FAQ can be referred to the Ministry of Communications.
