00:00A Bersatu Supreme Council member has urged Putrajaya to announce an exit strategy for

00:07U Mobile, which was chosen earlier this month to implement the nation's second 5G network

00:12from Digital Nasional Berhad.

00:14In a statement, Wan Saiful Wan Jan asked why Putrajaya had yet to order representatives

00:19from U Mobile, who were sitting on DNB's board, to relinquish their positions.

00:25In April, it was reported that U Mobile's Chang It-fei and Tan Kok-leong had joined

00:30DNB as a board member and an alternate director respectively.

00:34However, attempts to find their names on the DNB website only returned a message stating

00:39that users were not authorized to access this page.

00:43Wan Saiful said the decision to appoint U Mobile to implement the second 5G network

00:48made the telecommunications company a competitor to DNB.

00:52He asked if the U Mobile representatives who sat on DNB's board provided the company

00:57with an unfair advantage, claiming that the representatives would have access to sensitive

01:01data about DNB's operations and strategies.
