00:00My journey was a very strange journey because when I started my acting career, I am a telecom engineer and I deliberately took a transfer to Bombay to start my acting career, which was a very difficult step for me.
00:26Because I am not from any filmy background, I come from a farmer's family, so I had no idea about this process, I just had a passion inside that I want to become an actor and I want to act.
00:41So, my journey started in 2014 when I started my career with small cameos in TV and slowly I learned from those cameos, observed things, sat on the set, when I didn't have a shot, I used to observe things, what is going on, who is doing how, whether it is a direction team, production team or your crew.
01:03So, after noticing everything, I had the same schooling, I had the same diploma, I observed things from there, what I got from there, I kept learning from there and then I got my first break in Tubelight, which was my first film, I did a small cameo there.
01:17Then this car kept growing there, then Paltan, Zoya Factor, Dabang 3 and then I got a chance to join Ram Gopal Verma ji, so I did three projects with him and today Sikander.
01:27So, this journey which I told you started from there in 2014 and now Sikander.
01:33See, this is a purely positive character, first of all I would like to tell you that this is a throughout positive character and as far as challenging is concerned, the biggest challenge was that in such a long schedule, you have to be physically strong for this character because we had a lot of action sequences.
01:57And with action, until you are properly fit or you have to maintain yourself properly for your body movements, so that was the biggest challenge, in between your weather was also such that when there is a rainy season, so I had made my daily routine that whatever happens, because what happens is that your gym workout is totally different,
02:22but for such sequences, you need a different type of strength to do your body movements properly.
02:31The scenario I had kept was that I used to do 100m sprints daily, I had set that in my daily routine because your overall strength of your body is important.
02:42So, there were a lot of things that I had prepared for this character, which was set in my daily routine.
02:53No, there is nothing like that, whether it is a villain or a positive character or even if you are doing a comedy character, there is a challenge in everything.
03:02The challenge is on your content, how is the screen presence of that character, when a director tells you about a character that I see this character like this,
03:16so the biggest challenge is that the director has told you, have you been able to understand that thing in that way, because every person, every actor, writer, director has a vision,
03:27so when that vision comes on the same page, then that character and that actor will be able to work with that character, when that content will be visible to the audience, then it will be successful.
03:39So, if you are on the same page, because a writer has written a character, a director has thought about that character, then if the actor understands that vision and portrays it in the same way, then that thing will be successful.
03:53So, this is my view, the rest of the challenge is for every character, whether it is a villain, a positive character or a comedy character, because somewhere you are portraying a different character.
04:06So, I don't believe that there are no challenges in this, yes, there can be more or less, but there are challenges.
04:18It was always a dream as being a fan of Salman sir, so somewhere it was always a dream that I have to work with him and work in a good character.
04:29By the grace of God, I did a small cameo in Dabangg 3, but that was a small cameo, I also did Tubelight, but even in that my scenes were not with Salman sir, so somewhere it was always in my heart that I should get a chance with Salman sir.
04:44So, in fact, there is a story, last year when we were playing CCL, we had a match of Mumbai Heroes in Dubai, so I met Salman sir there and I had asked God for a wish, I had prayed that next year somehow God should do something so that I get a chance to work with him.
05:03And when God heard that, I was approached for this character, and in fact, I had told this to Salman sir, one day on the set, when our scene was cut, I also told him that sir, last year when you met in Dubai, I had asked God for a wish that somehow I should get a chance to work with you, so today I got this chance.
05:24And he very lovingly, in his own style said, let's ask for something bigger, I said sir, how do I explain to you that how big is this for me, how big is this thing that I have got, what does it mean for me.
05:36See, exactly, you are absolutely right, his energy, I have learned a lot of things from him, actually, on the set, first of all, his way of adopting things, he adopts it very quickly, then whether it is his action or his energy for dance or it is dialogue delivery or anything, he adopts that thing so quickly.
06:04And he gets so involved in things so quickly that he is really commendable, I have worked with so many actors, so many people, I will say that he has a very unique style, he has a very unique ability to adopt things, and he is unmatched in energy.
06:28I can't say tips, but yes, many times he used to say, many times it used to happen that he used to pass a smile, because he used to come close to you and say that you have given a very good shot, instead of saying that, when he passes you a smile from a distance, and if he does so much, then assume that you have done your job well.
06:56So, he has a different style, which maybe people know, we also know, we have worked with him for about 100 days, so his scenario, his style is completely different from everyone else. So, whatever he says in a smile with a lot of love, some people may not be able to say it in four lines.
07:13There are so many moments, I will tell you one or two moments, one was a very beautiful moment that we were playing cricket together on the set, because when you go, you know that this is your call time, you have to go and work, and you go with that mindset that, okay, remembering your lines, or in your character, that yes, today we have this scene, so we have to do this.
07:42So, that preparation, somewhere in the back of the mind, it keeps going that, okay, I have to do this today, how will I convey this character, this dialogue today. So, you are rehearsing somewhere inside, but as soon as you entered the set, you saw that cricket was going on there.
07:56And he said so lovingly, come, play, so we played cricket there for about an hour and a half, played with sir, and it was a very healthy moment. And another surprising moment was that his team member came and told us that if you people are not getting a chance to work out at home, then you can come and work out in my gym.
08:19So, it was a very surprising and a very lovely moment when sir himself noticed that maybe these people are not getting a chance because our schedule was very hectic. So, because of that, sometimes we were not able to work out, sometimes our call time was very early or it was getting packed late at night. So, it was a very surprising and a very lovely experience.
08:40In the film, he is purely a positive character throughout the film and I will not be able to tell much about the character in detail, nor will I be able to tell anything about the story. But I can definitely tell you that this character, Deva's character, is a start-to-end positive character throughout.
09:02And as you can see in the trailer, he is with Salman sir throughout everything, whether it is action sequences or the companions of happiness and sorrows. It's kind of that character. So, he is a start-to-end with sir and he is very loyal to him.
09:21In three words, one is loyal and one is love and determination.
09:36As I told you, it's a kind of a pure positive character or as a villain kind of. I don't think there was any such scenario. But as being, as doing a positive character after a long time.
10:01Because in all my projects, I have played only negative characters. It's been three years since my last three films and series were all negative. So, after a long time, I got a chance to play a positive character.
10:15So, I was very happy from inside. Because when you are doing something, you start feeling that you are being approached for a villain, you are being approached for a negative character.
10:29So, I got to play this character a little differently and after a long gap, I got to play a positive character. So, I was feeling blessed from inside and I was very happy. So, there was no such villain kind of feeling. It was not like that.
10:45I would like to give the same message to the fans. First of all, you can watch this film without any hesitation. In this, everything is guaranteed. This is my guarantee that you will get a lot of spice in it.
11:00Whether it is your action or mass entertainer or your comedy or your emotions, you will not be disappointed to see this film. If you take the name of any of my favorite films, you will get this film better than that.
11:16You will not get less than that. This is my promise to you and I will want a lot of love for you, for myself, for this film and for Bhaijaan.
