00:00I was really struggling with how am I going to get by in life and not taken seriously by doctors.
00:21I want to send a special thank you out to everybody who has acknowledged the fact that I'm doing well.
00:30You don't know how hard it will work. Like this.
00:46If in any way shape or form what I do can be inspirational, please, I hope it is for everyone.
00:52But know this, you inspire me.
01:00And help me maintain my hope. Thanks.
01:11My first symptoms came a little over a year and a half before my diagnosis.
01:15I was at a gas station and all of a sudden this little black dot appeared in my vision.
01:20I made the conscious effort to be public about it because I didn't think it was fair that someone should experience something like being diagnosed with MS and having no understanding of it.
01:50The doctor performed a lot of tests. Then he told me that I had MS and he gratefully left the room.
01:56That is when Mitt and I cried and Mitt hugged me and this is the first thing Mitt said.
02:03He said, it's not terminal. We're going to be okay. We're in this together.
02:09The best advice I can give to those living with MS is to try and focus on the good.
02:20We can feel like we are constantly fighting and researching and staying on top of our disease but in that we forget to live.
02:30And I'm really trying hard to do that.
