00:00Now, let's get to why we are all here today.
00:09Because we're all here and we share in the frustration and the heartache from watching
00:17people in power actively tear down or refuse to fight for everyday working Americans like
00:27us.
00:30We're here together because an extreme concentration of power and corruption is taking over this
00:36country like never before.
00:39And we are here, most importantly, because we know that a better world is possible.
00:56But to get there, we need to be honest about where we are, Tucson, because we are witnessing
01:02an oligarchy in America, when those with the most economic, political, and technological
01:09power destroy the public good to enrich themselves, while millions of us pay the price.
01:18And our political system is ill-prepared for this abuse of power.
01:22In fact, much of our political system enables this abuse of power, starting with the role
01:29of money in politics.
01:33But I'm here to remind you that we are not powerless in this moment.
01:38People are starting to put the pieces together.
01:43And ironically, the most divisive forces in our country are actually bringing more of
01:49us together than before.
01:52And that's important.
