00:00Kuya Chris, we have a question of the day from Scarlett Avery Peñalosa, 8 years old from Las Pinas City.
00:06She's from the country.
00:08She asked, if a person hasn't been to the end of the galaxy,
00:12let's admit that he has seen and studied it.
00:16Good question.
00:17Good question.
00:19You know, a lot of people are posting pictures of other planets and our galaxy.
00:25Is that true?
00:26Or is it just done by AI or artificial intelligence?
00:29Yes, that's still popular.
00:31AI is really good.
00:32Maybe some are made by AI.
00:34But it's true that stars and galaxies are taken by pictures and videos
00:39that are very far from the help of advanced technology.
00:44Do you know the technology that I'm talking about?
00:48Isn't it curious?
00:49What is it, Kuya Chris?
00:50Because it can.
00:51It can really be taken.
00:53So to see is to believe.
00:54Guys, let's watch this.
00:56This is good.
00:58The most distant picture of space is from the Hubble Telescope,
01:01named after the American astronomer Edwin Hubble,
01:05who said that the cosmos is full of other galaxies.
01:09Hubble died in 1953 before his theory was proven.
01:14But in 1990, the telescope named after him was sent to the Discovery Shuttle to space.
01:22The pictures sent by the telescope gave way to scientists
01:26to confirm Hubble's theory by revealing thousands of galaxies
01:31that are 13.2 billion light-years away.
01:34Wow! Out of this world!
01:36Hubble is responsible for most of what we know about deep space.
01:41It confirmed Edwin Hubble's theory that the universe has many dimensions and expansions.
01:47It helped Big Bang to return to 13.7 billion years ago.
01:53It showed the huge black hole in the middle of the universe.
01:57And it became important in finding extrasolar planets.
02:01It's trivia time!
02:03How long did Hubble take to travel around the Earth?
02:08A. 95 minutes
02:10B. 95 hours
02:12or C. 95 days
02:14The answer is A. 95 minutes.
02:17A telescope can zoom while traveling at 17,000 miles per hour.
02:23And it can also capture an insect from a distance of 7,000 miles.
02:28In 2021, James Webb Space Telescope was launched,
02:32the $9 billion billionaire of Hubble.
02:36This level-up deep space telescope will travel 1,000 miles in space
02:42compared to the 350 miles of Hubble.
02:46Only time will tell what new discoveries are waiting for us at the end of space.
