00:00Dan Byrne was a lad that was pushing trolleys at Asda, playing in non-league, moves up to
00:05Darnton, goes to Fulham, gets released by Fulham, lots of different loans go as well
00:08as he was at Fulham, then goes to Wigan, Brighton, Newcastle, that's no straight line, and now
00:14he's at the England squad. I think that journey is one of, Eddie Howe called it, one of the
00:18greatest stories in football, I couldn't agree more.
00:20He's not even hitting Pete yet, he's on the rise.
00:23What do you think, like, working class background, Dan Byrne, working class, working at Asda?
00:30I've not really, I think I've only spotted him once, but he seems like a really, you've
00:34spotted him, you've spotted him, he seems like a really good guy as well.
00:37Just sort of the earth.
00:39I was speaking to my fiancée yesterday, who's obviously a teacher, and she went and talked
00:44about, around her school, Dan Byrne. He's a symbol for all the kids who are from a working
00:49class background, who are in her classes. That's someone to look up to. He is a Geordie
00:54icon, a role model.
