00:00This week's fastest horse of the week is brought to you by Timberlake, another of
00:04the fast sires at Windstar Farm. He was fast right from the beginning of his
00:07racing career. He broke his maiden by nine and a quarter lengths, was a TD and
00:11rising star, then he won the Champagne Stakes, then as a three-year-old he won
00:14the Rebel Stakes, and now Timberlake joins Practical Joke as the only grade
00:19one winning two-year-olds by into mischief currently standing at stud.
00:24Timberlake actually begins his stud career next year at Windstar Farm
00:28standing for a fee of $20,000. That might even entice Justin Timberlake to
00:33buy a mare and breed to his namesake. Meanwhile that fastest horse of the
00:38week won Friday's featured race at Churchill Downs. Run Carson took an open
00:44allowance at five and a half furlongs on the turf by a length and a quarter under
00:47Flavian Pratt and a time of 101.65. That was good for a 100 buyer
00:53speed figure. Run Carson's on a roll in his race before that. He won the Carl
00:57Place Stakes in New York running six furlongs in 106.85. He's the son of
01:05McLean's Music, owned by NBS Stable. That's Art Newheidel, John Valentine, and
01:09Daryl Shaw, trained by Kelsey Danner. He was Pratt's 52nd graded stakes winner of
01:13the year as he closes in on Jerry Bailey's record of 55 in a year. And you
01:18may be wondering, we've talked a lot about Carson's run, the West Point Turf
01:23star named by Terry Finley after Carson Yost, the inspirational young man who
01:28shares the same affliction as the late Cody Dorman. Run Carson is a three-year-old
01:33who began his career almost exactly a year after Carson's run. So is Run Carson
01:39named in honor of Carson Yost? Actually, no. The original owner of Run Carson is
01:44Tom McCrocklin, whose dog is named Carson. And Carson the dog apparently likes to
01:52run. The horse Run Carson can run also, and he is our fastest horse of the week.
