00:20In the survey released by Social Weather Stations,
00:23more than half or 51% of Filipinos said that former President Rodrigo Duterte should be punished for extrajudicial killings related to war against illegal drugs by his administration.
00:36In a statement by Radyo Pilipinas, Geopolitical Analyst Dindo Manhit said that the results of the survey were proven by Filipinos because it was done before Duterte was arrested.
00:48This was done towards the third week of February and there was no discussion about this.
00:55We call this a baseline. That means no one is shaping a narrative, no disinformation, no massive Facebook political discourse.
01:06And because there was no discussion and the public was influenced by the issues on social media, it can be seen that the majority of Filipinos favored Duterte to be punished, especially since there was no other case up to this point.
01:19Professor Manhit believes that it is possible that many more killings have happened in Visayas because Duterte was 62% favored to be punished.
01:28Manhit's statement proves that it is important for Filipinos to respect human rights if they want to punish the former president.
01:36As a countrymen, maybe it is important for us to respect human rights and our right as individuals to punish the former president because this is a policy of the former president that he can defend.
01:52He said that until his last appearance in Congress and Senate, I will be responsible and accountable.
