00:00Next Goat has his first crop of eelings this year and we're just very excited to see
00:13kind of what happens in the summer into the fall.
00:16You know he got off to a great start over at Fasig November, the night of the stars
00:20you know they just like bam bam bam you know three or four six-figure horses right off
00:24the top of the beds.
00:26I think physically his foals fit kind of that mode as far as being early and precocious.
00:30They're medium-sized a little bit bigger than what you might think but they're very square
00:35behind good hips well-balanced horses.
00:38They were purchased by a wide variety of people both end-users and penhookers as well you
00:43know some of the best in the business Peter O'Callaghan, Ben McElroy, Archie St. George.
00:48So definitely some end-users that got involved guys like Calumet Farm, Bill Hollybrook, D.J.
00:53Stables so it's a good combination of both penhookers and end-users.
00:57They're all athletic horses correct good hind ends he's a strong nice horse.
01:04We bought a nice scope out of a mare called Cat Dance who we think is very nice he moves
01:11very well correct strong forward nice horse.
01:15Well as far as homebreds we have two Next Goat babies I actually bought the first weanling
01:20that was for sale off Sequel Bloodstock in the New York sale delighted with her purchase
01:26and then come up in Keeneland January saw another big walk-in colt that we actually
01:32bought in partnership.
01:33I definitely think if you have a mare that maybe doesn't always throw the best front
01:37end or something you may want to consider Next Goat because I can't off the top of my
01:42head and I've looked at dozens of them I can't really think of a of a seeing one that wasn't
01:47correct.
01:48I think when they come up here as yearlings people are going to respect this guy and what
01:52he was as a runner.
01:53Yeah I mean Next Goat was to me I mean he's exactly what you want you know in the race
01:57horse two years you know it's a two year old he broke his maiden first time out of Ellis
02:00Park came back and he won the Breeders Fraternity at Keeneland at grade one you know by five
02:05and a half links and then was a good second in the Breeders Cup juveniles.
02:09To be good enough to win a grade one or two shows he had a lot of talent and then to be
02:13able to carry it on through his career you know it just shows the talent he had and you
02:19know how fast he ran and how you know he was just a brilliant race horse.
02:23It's Next Goat with a wire to wire victory in the 94th running of the grade one Whitney.
02:30So this year Next Goat is going to stand for $15,000.
02:33I completely understand the risks that are involved with you know breeding the horse
02:36and whether it's their second third or fourth year but we've seen it with not this time
02:41you know people that bred in his third and fourth year got rewarded greatly.
02:44I think with Next Goat being the kind of the caliber of horse that he was precocious you
02:49know a very very good two-year-old very fast I think these guys if you're breeding this
02:53year we're going to be selling when his first proper two-year-olds and I think you get just
02:58a tremendous opportunity and chance to hit a home run.
03:01Right now he's really good value for the race horse he is and if you look at all the I mean
03:05the top level stallions right now I mean justified amazing race horse gunrunner amazing race
03:10horse.
03:11He carried his speed he had a great brain he's been well supported I mean now it's up
03:16to him but from what I see so far he's got every shot in the world.
