00:00Following a great year in 2022, the first day of the Arcana Summer Sale confirmed a
00:08strong market and provided a historical top price for a store.
00:12The two-year-olds who had breezed up the previous day sold first.
00:16The top price for that session went to a son of See the Moon.
00:19Lot 36, presented by Knock on Glass Stables, sold for 85,000 euros.
00:25The Colt, out of an Oasis Stream sister to the Black Type winner Three Bodies, will be
00:29trained in Chantilly by Alessandro Botti.
00:56Knock on Glass Stables ended up top seller for that session, having also sold the first
01:01lot of the day, a son of See the Stars, for 75,000 euros.
01:06The second part of the day was dedicated to stores, with lot 251, a Colt by Zarak, setting
01:12a new top price at 240,000 euros.
01:16The beautiful Colt, out of a full sister to Nirvana du Berlais, was presented by the Channel
01:23Consignment, with Guy Petit signing the slip for owner Edward James.
01:42The Channel Consignment, top seller for the day, also offered the second highest price
01:47store.
01:48Another son of Zarak, the Gelding is the first offspring of a National Hunt winning mare.
01:52Lot 206, a Gelding by Motivator, from the maternal line of Fuisse and Full of Gold,
02:13was secured by Tom Malone for 115,000 euros.
02:17One of nine lots offered by Ballyradin and Bushurstown on a memorable day.
02:22The new consignment venture also presented lot 167, accompanied all the way to the ring
02:28by Rachel Phelan, and knocked down at 110,000 euros.
02:32Yeah, it's a great story.
02:33So Rachel and a few others bought her as a foal in Fairy House, I think, and it's before
02:39Impervious had won a race.
02:41So they had a lovely blue Brazil filly, but at the time wasn't a sister to a very good
02:45horse.
02:46And obviously they had all the updates with Impervious.
02:49They decided to come here, and Rachel was leading up the horse.
02:52She's worked every day, she's super.
02:54She works for Henry de Bromhead normally, and she's just a star, and to have a result
02:59like that for her and her partners in it, it's just brilliant.
03:03And we were honoured to have her to sell, and it's a lovely story.
03:09Soon after lot 167, Pierre Boullard also acquired lot 169 for the Papeau family at the same
03:15price tag of 110,000 euros.
03:20Lot 232, a filly by Dr. Dino out of the group winning hurdler Let's Dance, was sold for
03:28110,000 euros.
03:30She had the most beautiful head.
03:33It was about her head.
03:34Now when you look at her dam, she looked like a dam, and when you watch her when she's racing,
03:40that was a mare that used to put her head down and lay her ears back, and you can see
03:44from the expression on her face, she had to win, she wanted to win, and I think I could
03:49see the same thing in her daughter, where she just wanted, she's got that sort of strong
03:56character that she wants to, she's going to want to win.
04:00I also saw her sister is in training in France, and I've watched the videos of her, and she's
04:07again, she moves beautifully in a gallop.
04:11You just think that these are proper race mares, and I just loved her from the moment
04:16I saw her.
