00:00The TD and Riders are brought to you by the Fast Sires at One Star Farm, the sponsor every week of
00:04this Fastest Horse of the Week segment. Our spotlight sire this time is Life Is Good. We
00:12know the sons of Into Mischief are fast, but who is the fastest son of Into Mischief at stud? And
00:20that of course would be Life Is Good with nine triple digit fires including a 112. And you talk
00:27about a horse that's doing well in the stallion barn. He bred 192 mares this year and he has a
00:33new stud fee beginning in 2024 of $85,000. With numbers like that, Life Is Good is not just good,
00:40he is brilliant and he stands of course at One Star Farm. Fastest Horse of the Week, it's a tie.
00:46We've talked about both of them already. Gina Romanica of course with 105 in the First Lady
00:52and Warlight Goddess with the 105 in the Joe Hirsch. Now anybody that knows anything about
00:57speed figures, these two figures could not have been more different in terms of how they were
01:05earned. The pace was so slow in the Joe Hirsch that any fig maker, not just fire speed figures,
01:11but Thurograph, Ragazin, you name it, it's an educated guess, the 105 for Warlight Goddess.
01:18There's really no way to be confident in any number when a pace is that slow. It throws the
01:24final time, in this case 232 and 4, just throws things totally out of whack. But in terms of
01:29Gina Romanica, you also had the Coolmore Turf Mile as a barometer and the two races were very
01:36similarly paced. So you can be very confident in the 105 that Gina Romanica earned and we'll
01:42see whether or not she goes forward to the Breeders' Cup killing mare turf.
