00:00Europe is going directly after the red states over Donald Trump's tariffs.
00:06Trump picked a fight with Europe and they are hitting back hard.
00:10But the twist is that they are trying to make the pain land mostly in Republican states.
00:17This is very interesting.
00:19And this is what happens when Trump plays tough on trade without a real plan.
00:25Trump slapping these tariffs on steel and aluminum from Europe and in response, the
00:30EU is dropping billions in counter tariffs on American goods.
00:37But they're being very careful about exactly what they are going after.
00:40They are going after soybeans from Louisiana.
00:45They're going after beef and poultry from Kansas and Nebraska.
00:50They're going after produce from Alabama and Georgia and Virginia.
00:54Generally red states, Virginia, sometimes the exception, depending on whether you're
00:58talking local or national elections, Georgia did vote for Biden in 2020, but generally
01:03a red state.
01:05And meanwhile, the blue states, Europe is not targeting.
01:09Why?
01:10Because our allies know that this is a Trump problem.
01:13This is not an America problem.
