00:19Fifty-one members of the Four Peas from the city of Malabon have received free mobile phones from the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD.
00:30This is the ceremonial activity of the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD for the program that was held in the Navotan Sports Complex.
00:40According to the DSWD, this is to provide easier access to financial services using the digital platform.
00:49This includes the cash grants of the DSWD and to become digital financial literate members of the Four Peas.
00:58Aside from smartphones, those who visited the Navotan Sports Complex today were given P2,000.
01:08This is part of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations or AIS program.
01:14According to the DSWD, a well-known telecom company in the country donated a cell phone,
01:21to which their financial digital platform is also a partner, to become cashless in the payout of assistance to the Four Peas,
01:30while the Ayala Foundation and the DPI Foundation are the ones who distributed the financial literacies to those who visited here today.
01:40The phone is at level 1.
01:43Level 1 is for those who are food poor.
01:47We have three levels of poverty now.
01:51Level 1 is for those who are food poor.
01:53Those who cannot afford to feed themselves.
02:01Level 2 is for those who are subsistence.
02:04Those who are income poor.
02:06Those who do not have a stable income.
02:10And level 3 is for those who are self-sufficient.
02:14Those who are able to stand on their own two feet.
02:18So our priority to give a cell phone is at level 1.
02:25Alan, the total number of people who visited here today is 800 Four Peas beneficiaries.
02:32Only 61 were given smartphones because they are in the level 1 category.
