00:09We are here on Argyle Street to find out what people love most about Glasgow,
00:13what the best thing is about being Glaswegian.
00:15Nowadays, the West End better and the historical areas
00:22because the town centre area is rubbish now and it's dirty
00:28and I'm just back from Spain and the streets are absolutely free of debris
00:35and you come here and look.
00:38I love Glasgow. My soul is in Glasgow.
00:41I think the good thing about Glasgow is it's quite the acidity.
00:45Loads of things going, lots of good things.
00:48Argyle Street and Circuit Hall Street used to be fabulous and they're rubbish now.
00:54Everything, heaven on earth is in Glasgow.
00:58There's a lot of negative things now.
01:00I think the homeless issue in Glasgow isn't even funny anymore.
01:04The fact we've got beggars out on the street.
01:07We're a rich society that should actually be dealing with people
01:11and looking after them in a proper manner with some respect and dignity.
01:15I like Byers Road for a walk along Great Western Road,
01:19around Kelvinside, all that area is lovely to walk around
01:22to see all the buildings and the lovely restaurants.
01:26It's a nicer area out the West End.
01:28To be honest with you, I don't think there's many Glasgow people in Glasgow anymore.
01:31I think it's just so diverse.
01:35I think it is a very diverse city.
01:37I'm British born, but I was born in England, but I love Glasgow.
01:44They're super friendly, super friendly and talkative.
01:47The attitude of Glasgow is, it doesn't matter where you're from in the world,
01:51if you want to be a Glaswegian, you can.
01:53It doesn't really matter where you're originally from, you're just a Glaswegian.
01:57They're just so friendly, whether home or away.
02:00How long? About 16 or 17 years, off and on, off and on.
02:06I like doing the tourist bus, believe it or not, it's actually quite good fun,
02:09because you can stop wherever you want and have a look about.
02:12You can walk all day and see nice things and it's the buildings.
02:19Look up in Glasgow, don't look down.
02:22I've done the tourist bus in Glasgow and I've done the Edinburgh ones,
02:24but the Glasgow one's much better and the people on the buses,
02:28especially the red bus, they're very knowledgeable,
02:30so you do get a good thing of what's been going on in the city and the history of the city.
02:34Pollock Park is my absolute favourite.
02:37I love it there, I go there a lot.
02:39I'd love it anywhere in the South East and I like to be close to the river, it's nice.
02:42That new bridge is fabulous.
02:44I've walked that so many times already.
02:46The Govan Park? Yeah, yeah.
02:48Centenac, Centenac, yeah, yeah, my favourite place.
02:53Every day I come here and round and go to the house.
