00:00Am I crazy, George, with Griffin Canning? He struck out 130.
00:04I forget wins, okay, because we don't know what's going to happen here, but how good
00:08is this Mets offense? Like, if this guy can go five, six innings with an ERA of mid-fours,
00:13he's at absolute steel going this late. Maybe I'm nuts here, but I tried to find some
00:18diamond in the rough here on the Mets.
00:22The Mets have some issues, right? They've got some problems. They're going to remind me of the
00:26late 80s Yankees. There's a lot of 9-7 games coming. All right, they can hit like there's
00:31no tomorrow, right? I think the Mets' offense is going to be great there with Soto, Alonso,
00:34Lindor, Nemo, Viento, who I really like. Soto's the point that I didn't get him on Monday night
00:40in that draft there. Once again, home league, New York, he went higher than he probably should have,
00:45but listen, there's a chance. You're going to get your Ws, all right, because I think if he can
00:50stay your five innings, he's going to win games giving up four runs in five innings because
00:54they're going to win 7-6 later, all right, whatever it might be here. Minaya's out. Montas
00:59is out. You said, Senga, I don't even know what's going on with this guy. Ho is your opening day
01:04starter. Peterson's probably your number two. I mean, my issue would be this. What happens when
01:10they're healthy? Now, I understand there could be other injuries, so maybe that never matters here,
01:14but Minaya's, I think, throwing now, so theoretically he's back late April, May.
01:18Montas probably more mid-May, June. What happens when everybody's healthy? Does he have a rotation?
01:22He needs to pitch well, but you need him to pitch well anyway, all right. He's a late round guy.
01:25You still have nothing to lose here, right? Late round, throw it at the dart boards,
01:30mud at the wall, see if it sticks. I don't mind this. I don't, so I think he could be a guy.
01:34I'm not expecting it. That's the thing here, but we're all going to have guys like this.
01:38Maybe it hits, maybe it doesn't, so I don't mind this, no.
01:42All right, so now here's another deeper sleeper, Ben Lively, the reclamation project that is Ben
01:48Lively. I mean, George, he won 13 games last year for Cleveland. Remember when Lively was
01:53a top prospect and was, like, done? Cleveland is this factory of fixing pitchers, 118 strikeouts.
01:59You're not getting 200 strikeouts from Ben Lively, so, George, people are not drafting him very high,
02:05but is there something to be said for having Class A back of the, you know, back of the game?
02:10This guy goes deep, close game. I don't know. I feel like this is just a little too low. I mean,
02:15he could be my SP5 in a 12-team league. I like Lively better than Canning, all right? You already
02:22said it. Cleveland, they develop pitchers, they fix, whatever you want to call it. What do you
02:26call it? Pitching factory? Absolutely true here. I like Lively a bunch here. From what you get him
02:31late round, he's not sexy, all right? But nobody drafted that late as sexy. He's safer, where I
02:37think you're going to be okay with him no matter what happens. You're going to be okay with Lively
02:40here. He's got a job. I'm not worried about him losing a job at some point unless he pitches
02:44terribly here. And then the ballpark, people think Cleveland's are his ballpark. It looks
02:50like it's not. It's the pitchers' ballpark here. So I like your Lively pick here. Yeah,
02:53I'm on board with Lively.
