00:00So, naturally, Sasaki is probably the highest rising player in all of fantasy baseball.
00:06Absolutely, right? Kei Ogawa, by the way, for the Yankees, didn't work out so well either.
00:11But, once again, Sasaki is a high, very highly touted player anyway, right? Because he is supposed
00:17to be that good a pitcher here. Some of the guys you mentioned really weren't, all right? But they
00:21were still good when they—Imanaja. No one saw this coming from Imanaja or Kodai Sanger two years
00:26ago, right? But you said it. Major league players haven't seen him. So, it's an adjustment period
00:30to try and hit him. These are just good ones. Sasaki is supposed to be a great one, all right?
00:35So, I do think he's going to do well. I think the Dodgers going to a six-man rotation helps all of
00:41them, right? Helps Sasaki because he's used to that. Helps Yamamoto, used to that. Maybe helps
00:45guys like Glasnow stay healthy. Kershaw, when he comes around as well here. So, hard not to
00:51like Sasaki. Now, listen. I drafted him in my home league. Got him in round 10, all right?
00:56I am cautiously optimistic. He's not one of my top four or five pitchers. So, I'm not
01:00really counting on him. We'll see what happens. I told, you know, our man behind the glass there,
01:05Sam, that I'm probably not starting in week one. It's a weekly lineup start league. And I just
01:10don't know if he's going to go five innings against the Cubs on Wednesday. I'm just not
01:13sure. He went four innings in his last spring start, you know? So, maybe he gets five. Maybe
01:17he doesn't. But I don't know if he'll qualify for the win or a quality start, depending on what
01:20kind of league you play in there. Strikeouts, I don't know what that's going to be. Four,
01:25you know? I just don't see the risk. I think I've got to start one of my other pitchers here.
01:30And I don't think, I'm not so sure he's going to start when they get back to Dodger Stadium,
01:35right? Maybe he does. Maybe he doesn't. But Snell is going to start. Looks like the home opener
01:38there. Glasnow's going to have to go. So, does he start one of those last two games? I don't know.
01:42Maybe. So, we'll have to see there. So, I'm just going to probably let him sit week one. Just want
01:46to see what he does. But overall, I think he's going to be very good. But he's not making 30
01:52starts. I think you're looking at probably with 20. If I was going to put a number on, it's probably
01:5624, 23 and a half, the overrun that would be here. So, I think you need to keep that in mind. And by
02:01the way, I would probably put that number, Craig, on every one of the Dodger starters.
02:05Yeah. You know, and eventually, maybe Kershaw comes back. You don't know. By the way,
02:09when was that draft that you did that you got Sasaki in the 10th?
02:12Monday. Okay. So, you know, I mean, his ADP is now 102. So, it seems like you got him
02:21a lot later? Or is there because there's keepers involved?
02:25There are. This is a keeper league. Correct. So, yeah. If I got a 10th round, middle of the
02:30round. So, it's a pick one 10 somewhere around there. 12 team league. Yeah. Yeah. No, I feel
02:37that's probably about accurate. But I do hear a lot of people saying that they have overdrafted
02:44him. They've taken him in the 7th. They've taken him in the 8th just because of that.
02:47I am a little surprised, I got to say. Like, I mean, that just shows you the patience that
02:51you have as a fantasy owner, George, that you're not going to pitch him in that first game. Like,
02:56I don't know. I'm pitching. Five innings? Not good enough for you? Like, five innings?
03:01I don't know. He only went four. You know, this is a points league. This is a points league.
03:08A win is so important here. I have a funny feeling I'm going to end up with four points
03:13or four strikeouts. He doesn't qualify for the win. Or maybe it's tied 2-2 and he's not there.
03:18So, that's a big part of my reasoning. In a rotisserie league, I probably would start.
03:22What if I'm not as deep in pitching? I have a lot of good pitching.
03:26Yeah. No, I definitely think so. But, I mean, George, do you see like long-term success for
03:32this guy? I mean, he has a better pedigree, I guess. I guess you're right. Some of those
03:35players that I mentioned were a little bit of a surprise, where Sasaki is not a surprise
03:41going into the season. But I guess the question is, is that if you looked at the trajectory of
03:47a lot of those players that I mentioned that came from Japan or overseas, Taiwan, wherever,
03:53they generally have not lasted, right? Like, they generally have gone two, three years and flamed
03:59out. I think that's fair. You know, I don't think any of us truly know. I think the Dodgers are
04:05doing right by them. Once again, the six-man rotation, there won't be as much wear and tear
04:10on the arm, but he's not going to win 20 games. The Dodgers might win 118, but I don't know if
04:14he's going to qualify for 20. I don't think they want these guys to go that long. I don't think
04:18he's going to get 200 strikeouts, you know, so anything like that, I don't know. But I think
04:22he could be a good starting pitcher. They said, I'm not relying on him. He's not one of my top
04:27three. You know, he's a guy I want in my rotation, absolutely. He probably starts every week for me
04:31after this week. You know, I don't know how many two-start weeks, if any, I'll get from him,
04:35but I'm cautiously optimistic is really where I'm going with this, cautiously optimistic.
