00:00Let's throw up the defensive side of the ball Aiden really quickly. And remember, names
00:18in blue have fewer than a 10 star fewer than five starts in their career. Names in red
00:24are not expected to be available. So edge rushers, Neyland and Parsons are the only
00:29edge rushers on your team that have more than five career starts. Peyton Turner, who
00:34they just added the former first round pick zero career starts. Sam Williams, who's been
00:39here for a few years now missed all the last year's zero career starts. Then you have Tyrus
00:43Wheat and Darrell Johnson. That's thin. You need some you need some edge rush help. Yeah.
00:50Defensive tackle. Oh, so D. Zua, Mazi Smith, Solomon Thomas, Justin Rogers, who they drafted
00:56cut at the end of training camp, got picked up by the Bengals, and then they signed him
00:59away from the Bengals practice squad at the end of the year.
01:03And so he's on the active roster right now. It's a starting point. I would still expect
01:07them to add a defensive tackle somewhere, probably in the draft. Linebackers a little
01:11concerning right now. DeMarvin overshown is not going to be ready for the beginning of
01:14the season. We don't know when he'll be back. Your best guess on him. Would you be would
01:19you be surprised if October 1st rolls around and he's not ready? No, I would be surprised
01:24if he I would be surprised if he plays anytime before December and because it was it was
01:31Thanksgiving, right? Yeah, I would be stunned if he plays before December. I would be surprised
01:36if he plays next year. I think he's taking a redshirt year next year. That's what I think.
01:40I know he's not saying that. I know he's saying otherwise. He said I think he's saying he'll
01:43be back in November. That's a big ask to me. They're basically going to have one cheap
01:48year at him. Yeah, essentially. Although if he doesn't play next year, his contract tolls
01:53and he becomes a restricted free agent. Because if he if he doesn't end up playing, then that
01:57changes. That's what happened. Jalen Smith, Marist, Leopold linebacker, Kenneth Murray,
02:02Jack Sanborn. Those are two new additions there. Demone Clark and then Buddy Johnson.
02:08There are bodies there. You've got starting experience with Leopold Murray, Sanborn Clark,
02:13but it's it's not a group that I think strikes fear into the eyes of anybody.
02:17I think Maddie Bruce will push for more linebackers corner. You have seven of them right now,
02:23Diggs, Trayvon Diggs and Josh Butler are not going to be ready for the start of the season.
02:26It doesn't seem like C.J. Goodwin is a special teamer. Kieman Hall is a guy who's never started
02:33before. So you've got Kalen Carson, who was brutal at times last year, even though they
02:38thought highly of him.
02:39Kier Elam, who you just traded for and has struggled in Buffalo as a former first round
02:43pick and bland. You you need to go find a nickel somewhere. Yeah, you've got to find
02:48that. Your safeties are Malik Hooker, Marquis Bell, Donovan Wilson and Wanya Thomas solid
02:53group there. They gave Marquis Bell a decent amount of money and he had been it's four
02:57million a year. I think it was three years. Twelve million. He ended his season with a
03:01shoulder injury last year.
03:02That's when Bones Fossil got really emotional afterwards. That'd be a lot of money to just
03:06pay a special teamer, I feel like. So I think they've got plans for Marquis Bell. And then,
03:10of course, you have your special teams unit there with Brandon Aubrey, Brian Anger and
03:15Trent Sieg.
03:16But as you look at things right now, a lot of inexperience at defensive end, not a lot
03:21of, you know, encouraging depth at corner and linebacker. Very, very thin right now.
03:28They could honestly throw a pick anywhere on defense. And I don't think people would
03:31complain.
