00:00while the shooting is stopped.
00:01Is the mineral deal essentially the security guarantee
00:04that you guys envision?
00:04And then the second question is, President Trump
00:07appealed to a lot of Americans during his campaign
00:11on free speech arguments and not suppressing speech,
00:16especially from the government.
00:18But your revocation of the green card, to many,
00:21is seen as one of the most anti-speech actions
00:25a secretary can take with his powers.
00:27How do you respond to that?
00:28The first question was, again, the minerals deal.
00:31Is the minerals deal the version of the security guarantee?
00:34Well, I think that a minerals deal
00:36is something that I think is beneficial for both countries.
00:39Certainly one of the things that provides
00:41for Ukraine's long-term prosperity and security
00:46is vibrant economic growth and development.
00:49Their GDP begins to grow, and that
00:51gives them a tremendous amount of leverage and power
00:53and the ability to fund their own defenses.
00:56So I think certainly any economic development
00:58for Ukraine is positive for their own future.
01:01Obviously, if the United States has a vested economic interest
01:03somewhere, we're tied to them on an economic front.
01:06We're in partnership with them on something.
01:07We will have an interest in the future of Ukraine as well.
01:10I wouldn't couch it as a security guarantee,
01:12but certainly if the United States
01:14has a vested economic interest that's
01:16generating revenue for our people,
01:18as well as for the people of Ukraine,
01:20we'd have a vested interest in protecting it
01:22if it were to be challenged or threatened.
01:25On your first point, this is an important point,
01:28and I'm glad you asked this question.
01:29When you come to the United States as a visitor, which
01:32is what a visa is, which is how this individual entered
01:34this country, as on a visitor's visa, you are here as a visitor.
01:38We can deny you that visa.
01:40We can deny you that.
01:41If you tell us when you apply, hi,
01:43I'm trying to get into the United States on a student
01:45visa, I am a big supporter of Hamas,
01:48a murderous, barbaric group that kidnaps children,
01:51that rapes teenage girls, that takes hostages, that
01:54allows them to die in captivity,
01:56that returns more bodies than live hostages.
01:59If you tell us that you are in favor of a group like this,
02:01and if you tell us when you apply for your visa,
02:03and by the way, I intend to come to your country as a student
02:06and rile up all kinds of anti-Jewish student,
02:08anti-Semitic activities.
02:10I intend to shut down your universities.
02:12If you told us all these things when you applied for a visa,
02:15we would deny your visa.
02:16I hope we would.
02:17If you actually end up doing that,
02:19once you're in this country on such a visa, we will revoke it.
02:22And if you end up having a green card, not citizenship,
02:25but a green card as a result of that visa
02:27while you're here in those activities,
02:29we're going to kick you out.
02:30It's as simple as that.
02:31This is not about free speech.
02:32This is about people that don't have a right
02:33to be in the United States to begin with.
02:35No one has a right to a student visa.
02:37No one has a right to a green card, by the way.
02:39So when you apply for a student visa,
02:42or any visa to enter the United States,
02:44we have a right to deny you for virtually any reason.
02:46But I think being a supporter of Hamas,
02:48and coming into our universities,
02:50and turning them upside down, and being complicit
02:52in what are clearly crimes of vandalization,
02:55complicit in shutting down learning institutions.
02:58There are kids at these schools that can't go to class.
03:00You pay all this money to these high-priced schools
03:02that are supposed to be of great esteem,
03:04and you can't even go to class.
03:06You're afraid to go to class
03:07because these lunatics are running around
03:08with covers on their face, screaming terrifying things.
03:11If you told us that's what you intended to do
03:13when you came to America, we would have never let you in.
03:16And if you do it once you get in,
03:17we're going to revoke it and kick you out.
