Josie Francis, 29, spent a year collecting the fur of her lionhead rabbit, Phoebe, to create a bonnet-style beanie.

After gathering enough fur, she enlisted an artisan to spin it into yarn, which was then crocheted into a beanie.

Josie was also surprised with a tiny fur hat made for Phoebe.

Josie and her business partner, Nicole Agner, are now launching a limited edition collection of "Phoebe Beanies" from the rabbit's fur.

Josie said the project reflects their creativity, craftsmanship, and love for Phoebe. The official release date is expected soon.

00:00This is Phoebe, my four-year-old lion head rabbit and I'm on a mission to turn her fur
00:04into a beanie. So far I've spent a year collecting her fur. I found someone to spin her fur into yarn
00:10then I found someone to take the yarn and knit it into a beanie and I'm about to see the final
00:15result. I can't even tell you how happy I was getting this package. There's literally a beanie
00:20inside made from my bunny's fur which I know sounds kind of cuckoo but it was better than I
00:26ever could have imagined. Okay but then I saw something else. She made a beanie for Phoebe
00:31herself so I can twin with my bestie. I can't even handle it. You can barely even see it on
00:35her when she wears it because it blends in so well and guys it's so buttery soft. It feels luxurious.
00:41I already know I'm gonna want to wear this every day of my life. So much love went into every step
00:46of this process and I know it's morbid but one day Phoebe won't be here anymore but I will have
00:50this beanie until the end of time. I'm gonna go cry now. It's so perfect. I'm so happy.
