Anna Magnani (Roma, 7 marzo 1908 – Roma, 26 settembre 1973) è stata un'attrice italiana.Soprannominata Nannarella, è considerata una delle maggiori interpreti femminili della storia del cinema e risulta tra le poche attrici, nonché la prima italiana, ad essere considerata in tutto il mondo una grande personalità artistica.Attrice simbolo del cinema italiano, fu una delle figure preminenti della romanità cinematografica del XX secolo, insieme ad Alberto Sordi e Aldo Fabrizi.Celebri le sue interpretazioni, soprattutto in film come Roma città aperta, Bellissima, Mamma Roma e La rosa tatuata. Quest'ultimo le valse nel 1956 un Oscar alla miglior attrice protagonista (la prima attrice non di lingua inglese a ricevere il premio), un premio BAFTA e un Golden Globe. La Magnani è una delle poche personalità italiane ad avere una stella nella Hollywood Walk of Fame.Morì nella clinica Mater Dei di Roma il 26 settembre 1973, a 65 anni.Dopo una prima sepoltura nel cimitero del Verano di Roma,nel 1988 la salma fu traslata nella cappella di famiglia presso il cimitero di San Felice Circeo.
