00:27The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group monitored the incident.

00:30The suspects are trading online for P600,000 pesos.

00:34The mere possession of this machine is a violation of a law.

00:39The prohibited equipment,

00:41known as the International Mobile Subscriber Identity Catcher,

00:45can send multiple text messages within a radius of 500 meters.

00:50That's why it's the primary tool used by scammers.

00:53You might have won a case where you didn't participate.

01:01Those are the messages that it sends.

01:05Based on the investigation of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group,

01:07the suspect used to work as a security guard at a Pogo club.

01:12He was caught selling text blasters used for scams

01:16from his former boss, the Pogo operator.

01:20According to the police,

01:21the suspect doesn't know how to operate a text blaster,

01:24but he said he knows how to use it for Pogo's scamming operation.

01:28He just wants to earn money.

01:30The security guard was sold by his former employer.

01:34He bought it and sold it.

01:39The suspect is facing a complaint of violation of the Privacy Act of 2012

01:42and Republic Act 3846,

01:45an act providing for the regulation

01:47of radio stations and radio communications in the Philippines.
