00:00Two illegal smugglers were arrested online.

00:05More than 100 social media pages also revealed that the PNP removed them.

00:12And June Veneracion was arrested.

00:18While there's a cigarette in his mouth,

00:20this man is not afraid to carry a box of cigarettes

00:24that he sold in San Fernando, Pampanga.

00:27What he doesn't know is that he's now a target of police trap and operation

00:31that they might buy from him.

00:33When the time comes, he gave a thumbs-up sign,

00:37a good yard for him to be arrested and his accomplice.

00:44Well, the people we caught were selling firecrackers,

00:52through the different social media platforms.

00:58We are still trying to get hold of the two suspects.

01:01According to the PNP, all types of firecrackers are prohibited

01:06as long as it's an online selling.

01:08There are social media pages that are being targeted by the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group.

01:15As of now, 115 social media pages have been taken down

01:20because they were used in selling firecrackers.

01:23208 are being monitored.

01:25If we see a violation, we will request for the takedown.

01:29From December 6 to December 26,

01:32the PNP arrested 10 people for selling firecrackers on social media.

01:37And as the new year approaches,

01:39it's possible that more people will try to sell firecrackers.

01:42We will avoid selling firecrackers online

01:46because our police are here to monitor and carry out the operation.
