00:00A man hostaged his own brother in Tondo, Manila.

00:05The crime lasted for more than half an hour.

00:09And Jonathan was able to escape.

00:17Armed with a knife, the 30-year-old suspect clung to the clothes of his 28-year-old brother in Tondo, Manila yesterday.

00:27The hostage seemed to be talking to his brother.

00:33He was also stabbed several times with a sharp knife.

00:37The police of Manila went around.

00:39But the suspect let his brother enter the scene.

00:43This tense encounter lasted for more than half an hour.

00:48The suspect said that he will only surrender if his parents arrive.

00:55When his mother arrived, they immediately cried.

00:59He also surrendered his knife.

01:01And he surrendered himself.

01:04The suspect explained that he was made a hostage because his brothers did not want to take him.

01:10He was hoping to be transferred to another house because someone was threatening his life in their place in Tondo.

01:25Because his brother was in the hospital taking care of his sick wife, he couldn't be taken to his house.

01:35The suspect admitted that he was drugged when he was made a hostage by his brother.

01:44But the brother was decidedly charged.

01:47They wanted to teach their brother a lesson.

01:51The suspect was charged with grave threat, grave coercion, alarms and scandal, and illegal possession of bladed weapon.
